Publication number: 20150225198Abstract: A printer is provided with a printer body that includes a paper roll holder; first and second paper guides that come in contact with both end surfaces of a paper roll in the paper roll holder and prevent a positional shift of the paper roll in a central axis direction; first and second guide rails that restrict movement directions of the first and second paper guides so as to allow the first and second paper guides to slide in the central axis direction of the paper roll; and a link lever that connects the first paper guide and the second paper guide. The link lever enables the first and second paper guides to slide in conjunction with each other and to move closer to or away from each other.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 6, 2015Publication date: August 13, 2015Inventors: Tsuyoshi SAKAINO, Mikio MORIYA

Publication number: 20100076999Abstract: In registering a new document file in an index, the accumulated percentage of the number of registered keys A from registered keys associated with one posting data, including registered data, is computed. The posting data of a registered key associated with the number of posting data items, which is at most a threshold N, is stored in a leaf page of a balanced-plus tree constituted of the registered keys, and the posting data of a registered key associated with the number of posting data items, which is greater than the threshold N, is stored in a page of a posting-storing unit. When the accumulated number i of registered documents is a predetermined document number, the threshold N of the number of posting data items is changed to the maximum number of the posting data items that are associated with a registered key where the accumulated percentage is less than 60 percent.Type: ApplicationFiled: September 26, 2007Publication date: March 25, 2010Applicant: Justsystems CorproationInventors: Yasuhisa Okazaki, Takanori Hino, Kyoko Fujita, Mikio Moriya

Patent number: 5235887Abstract: A cutter apparatus having a fixed blade in an opening of a paper feeding guide; and a movable blade having a cutting portion which enters into the opening. A paper holding plate is provided on the movable blade slidably in the cutting direction. The distal end of the paper holding plate is kept projected by a sliding mechanism in the cutting direction from the distal end of the cutting portion of the movable blade. With the paper holding plate firmly holding the paper against the feeding guide, the sliding mechanism further moves the movable blade into the opening. On carrying out the cutting operation, firstly the paper holding plate slidingly reaches the recording paper and tightly keeps the paper stationary. Thereafter the cutting portion of the movable blade moves forward enters into the opening to cut the paper. The result is that the recording paper does not escape when undergoing the cutting operation, the cutting quality can be kept excellent to a certain extent irrespective e.g.Type: GrantFiled: July 2, 1992Date of Patent: August 17, 1993Assignee: Citizen Watch Co., Ltd.Inventor: Mikio Moriya

Patent number: 5158379Abstract: A printing controller for a serial printer, wherein a carriage having a printing head is reciprocated by a motor via transmitting a means, includes a carriage position detector for detecting the position of the carriage to produce a position detection signal; a timing signal generator for detecting the rotational position of the motor, thereby producing a timing signal synchronously with the movement of the carriage in a line direction; a synchronizing signal generator for producing a synchronizing signal per each predetermined plurality of timing signal synchronously with the timing signal, and a control circuit for producing a printing initiation signal, on the basis of the position detection signal, the timing signal and the synchronizing signal, in accordance with a first timing signal after the carriage leaves a home position and receives a first synchronizing signal.Type: GrantFiled: July 19, 1990Date of Patent: October 27, 1992Assignee: Citizen Watch Co., Ltd.Inventors: Mikio Moriya, Junichi Furukawa

Patent number: 4832244Abstract: A multiple paper sheet feed apparatus, suitable for use with a printer, comprises a plurality of sheet feed mechanisms each of which comprises a sheet feed roller and a clutch spring which selectively assumes either a first operation state for rotatively coupling the roller to the shaft, or a second operational state for releasing the rotative coupling. During rotation of a single sheet feed shaft common to all the feed mechanisms, solenoids corresponding to the respective clutches are selectively energized so that one or more corresponding armatures are disengaged from one or more associated clutch springs so as to cause the associated springs to assume their respective first states. As a result, one or more or all of the sheet feed mechanisms are rendered operative so that a selected one or more or all of the sheets are fed therethrough.Type: GrantFiled: March 6, 1986Date of Patent: May 23, 1989Assignee: Citizen Watch Co., Ltd.Inventor: Mikio Moriya

Patent number: 4795285Abstract: A toothed belt and pin assembly for a printer in which the pin is engaged with a guide hole of a carriage for reciprocally driving the carriage during movement of the belt. The assembly has an endless belt having a pitch line, and a pin mounted on the belt with the axis of the pin coinciding with the pitch line of the belt.Type: GrantFiled: November 17, 1987Date of Patent: January 3, 1989Assignee: Citizen Watch Co. Patent number: 4787764Abstract: A printer, having a cylindrical platen rotatable for delivery of a printing sheet, which comprises a roller support shaft disposed in parallel with the platen and rotatably supported by a cover which is capable of being open and closed, and at least one feed roller mounted on the shaft. In the state the cover is closed, the cut form sheet is settable, without the need of displacing the feed roller, by frictionally holding the sheet at the side downstream of the printing section between the feed roller and urging portions formed on a printer main unit at a location close to the platen to delivery the sheet, with utilization of resiliency of the sheet, thereby permitting printing onto the sheet up to trailing or lower end thereof. In case of using the continuous sheet, a tractor unit is mounted on the printer.Type: GrantFiled: November 30, 1987Date of Patent: November 29, 1988Assignee: Citizen Watch Co., Ltd.Inventors: Hiroshi Ikeda, Mikio Moriya
