  • Patent number: 5510506
Abstract: A process is disclosed to produce a carboxylic acid derivative of the general formula VIII!: ##STR1## wherein R.sup.1, R.sup.2, R.sup.3 and L are each as defined in the specification, characterized in that a benzyl halide is reacted with a cyano compound to give a phenylacetonitrile, which is then reacted with an alkyl nitrite in the presence of a base to give an .alpha.-hydroxyiminophenylacetonitrile, which is then reacted with an alkylating agent to give an .alpha.-alkoxyiminophenylacetonitrile, which is then hydrolyzed in the presence of a base, or is hydrated and treated with an acid, followed by hydrolysis in the presence of a base, to give an .alpha.-alkoxyiminophenylacetic acid, which is then reacted with an acid halide forming agent, or is convened into a metal salt, followed by reaction with an alkylating agent, or is reacted with a lower alcohol in the presence of an acid catalyst.

  • Patent number: 5499306
Abstract: A positional relationship between an autonomous mobile robot and a workpiece to be handled by the robot is calculated promptly and accurately on the basis of the image information obtained from a monocular vision camera mounted on the robot. Extracting the image feature points of the workpiece taken by the camera, a search region with a plurality of discrete space points is set on the basis of the estimated position and attitude of the camera. Then, the estimated image feature points of the workpiece, to be obtained when the workpiece is taken a view from these space points, are obtained. Then an error between the image feature point and the estimated feature point is calculated, and the position and attitude of the camera can be determined by finding the space point where the error is minimized.

  • Patent number: 5498792
Abstract: There is disclosed a process of producing an N-alkylacetamide of the general formula (III): ##STR1## wherein X.sup.1, X.sup.2 and X.sup.3 are the same or different and are independently hydrogen, lower alkyl, lower alkoxy, lower alkenyl, halogen or trifluoromethyl; R.sup.1 and R.sup.2 are the same or different and are independently lower alkyl; and represents a chemical bond of E- or Z-configuration, or a mixture of these configurations, which includes the steps of:(a) reacting an acetonitrile of the general formula (I): ##STR2## wherein X.sup.1, X.sup.2, X.sup.3, R.sup.1 and are each as defined above, with an alkylamine of the general formula (IV):R.sup.2 --NH.sub.2 (IV)wherein R.sup.2 is as defined above, to give an N-alkylacetamidine of the general formula (II): ##STR3## wherein X.sup.1, X.sup.2, X.sup.3, R.sup.1, R.sup.2 and are each as defined above; and(b) reacting the N-alkylacetamidine (II) with a nitrite derivative in the presence of an acid.

  • Patent number: 5126738
Abstract: A variable length code decoding circuit is provided for detecting a variable length code from a code string which is sequentially and serially inputted, and outputting a signal value of the detected variable length code. The circuit includes a memory for storing state variables which have fixed length and a state controller for controlling the state variables corresponding to the inputted information and the stored state variable which represents former inputted information, and for outputting the decoded variable length code when the state variable indicates the completion of decoding of the variable length code. Because the circuit handles state variable which have a fixed length code instead of the variable length code during the judging procedure, complicated calculation is prevented and memory reduction is realized.

  • Patent number: 5099328
Abstract: A ghost canceller includes a ghost cancelling circuit, waveform memories, a CPU, a training signal generating circuit, and a ghost variation detection circuit. By taking in GCR signals from the waveform memories into the CPU, synchronous addition and field sequence processing are effected, and they are transferred to the training signal generating circuit. The input video signal is changed over to the training signal to cancel ghosts, and when ghost variations are is not detected by the ghost variation detection circuit, the input video signal is fed into the ghost cancelling circuit, and is delivered as an output video signal.

  • Patent number: 4644349
Abstract: Major adjustments of an equipment such as a television receiver are attained by remote control signals from a remote control signal transmitter provided for the equipment. A memory for storing control data for a signal processing circuit, a control circuit for controlling the signal processing circuit and the memory, and a switching circuit for setting the control circuit in a first mode or a second mode are provided. In the first mode, the signal processing circuit is controlled by the remote control signal, and in the second mode, the signal processing circuit is controlled by the same remote control signal and the resulting control data is written into the memory.

  • Patent number: 4299590
Abstract: A cartoning machine which folds a carton blank into a carton having a box body and a box lid which are connected together during a single rotation of an intermittently rotating rotary body. The rotary body is provided with a plurality of pairs of positive dies, each pair of positive dies having dies respectively corresponding to the box body portion and the box lid portion. Disposed at certain angular intervals around the rotary body are a magazine for supplying carton blanks, a box body folding device having a box body negative die, a box lid folding device having a box lid negative die, and an ejecting section for discharging completed cartons. Cartons are continuously formed by the intermittent rotation of the rotary body and the relative movement between the above two box folding devices and the pairs of positive dies, the dies in each pair being movable back and forth separately.
