  • Publication number: 20210244284
Abstract: In an examination head used in an apparatus for examining periodontal disease, measuring light beams, which are parallel light beams, are emitted from a light-emitting surface of a light-emitting member. A reflecting member on which a reflecting surface is formed is provided at a position opposing the light-emitting surface of the light-emitting member. With a tooth and gum sandwiched by the light-emitting surface and reflecting surface, the measuring light beams to are emitted. Interference signals are generated utilizing light beams which are a reflection of the measuring light beams to from the reflecting surface in addition to light beams which are a reflection of the measuring light beams to from the tooth and gum. Interference signals having an excellent S/N ratio are obtained.

  • Publication number: 20200178811
Abstract: Loss of light is reduced in an examination for periodontal disease. A plurality of optical fibers are each held by holder so as to be freely movable independently along the direction of the optical axis. Since the optical fibers are each freely movable independently along the direction of the optical axis, light-emitting end faces of the optical fibers can be brought into close contact with a tooth or gum. Light reflected from the tooth and gum can be made to impinge on the optical fibers with reduced loss.

  • Publication number: 20200000568
Abstract: An examination probe used in an apparatus for examining the depth of a periodontal pocket includes a light-emitting portion and a gripping portion. The light-emitting portion includes a crystal deflecting element, which deflects, in a specific direction, measuring light split off from low-interference light, and an f-? lens for rendering parallel the measuring light that has been deflected. Measuring light that has been rendered parallel such as a measuring light beam is emitted from an opening of the light-emitting portion and irradiates a gum or tooth of a subject. An optical tomographic image of the gum or tooth is generated from interference signals obtained based on reflected light, allowing the depth of a periodontal pocket to be determined. The light-emitting portion protrudes further than the gripping portion does in the direction of emission of the measuring light such as the measuring light beam.

  • Patent number: 5470258
Abstract: The receptacle contact (10) includes a box-shaped contact section (12) with its upper wall folded over to provide protrusions (36) to abut against the tip of a resilient arm (48). Such receptacle contacts (10) are inserted into contact receiving cavities (42) in the connector housing (44). A double-lock member (150) may be used for double locking the contacts.

  • Patent number: 4979912
Abstract: An electrical connector comprises a dielectric connector housing (30, 60) having contact-receiving cavities (31a, 62) in which electrical contacts (20, 50) are received, the contacts (20, 50) are received, the contacts (20, 50) have engaging projections (21, 54) extending upwardly from an upper surface which are engaged by free ends of resilient arms (37) extending inwardly from opposite sides of the contact-receiving cavities thereby restricting movement of the contacts in the contact-receiving cavities (31a, 62) in a direction opposite to that of the insertion direction. A vertical fin (23) is provided on the upper surface of the contacts (20, 50) and disposed between the resilient arms (37). The engaging projections (54) have a space (55) in which a rib (39) of an inner section of a wall of the contact-receiving cavities (31a, 62) is disposed.

  • Patent number: 4726792
Abstract: An electrical connector comprises a dielectric housing having a passageway extending therethrough and a latching aperture in communication with the passageway. An electrical contact is positioned in the passageway and includes a resilient latch member that has a free end disposed in the latching aperture to retain the contact in the passageway. A projection extends outwardly from the latch member for engagement with an inside surface of the housing so that when a force opposite to the direction of insertion of the contact into the housing is applied to the contact the free end of the latch member is prevented from projecting beyond the outside surface of the housing.
