  • Publication number: 20100277634
Abstract: An imaging apparatus includes: an imaging element in which first and second pixels for storing signal charges in accordance with an amount of received light are alternately arranged in an array; a flash light emission unit that emits flash light in a shooting scene in which the flash light is emitted; and an imaging control unit that exposes the first pixels for a long time, and exposes the second pixels for a short time. The imaging control unit starts the short-time exposure and the long-time exposure at the same time in the shooting scene in which flash light is emitted, ends the short-time exposure earlier than the long-time exposure, and causes the flash light emission unit to start emitting the flash light at required timing immediately before the end timing of the short-time exposure.

  • Publication number: 20100261854
Abstract: Provided is a polymer scale adhesion preventive agent for use in the polymerization of a monomer having an ethylenic double bond, the polymer scale adhesion preventive agent including: (A) a condensation reaction product of an aldehyde compound and a hydroxynaphthalene-based compound, and (B) (B1) an organophosphoric acid compound, or (B2) an inorganic phosphoric acid compound having 3 or more phosphorus atoms, or a combination thereof. According to the present invention, a scale preventive coating having satisfactory scale adhesion prevention performance can be formed with a high degree of productivity via a single-stage application. Further, even if a multitude of polymerization batches are repeated under high-temperature polymerization reaction conditions, the adhesion of polymer scale to the inner wall surfaces and the like of the polymerization vessel can be effectively prevented. Moreover, because the thickness of the scale preventive agent layer can be suppressed to not more than 0.

  • Patent number: 7773268
Abstract: In a digital camera that can perform print designation, a print designation file for writing jobs for printing is prepared in a memory card in which image data is recorded, and information for specifying a file to be printed (FILE_ID), file identifying information for identifying whether the file to be printed is a moving image file or a still image file (FILE_TYPE), and information for specifying a scene to be printed in the moving image if the file to be printed is the moving image file (FRAME_NUM) are stored in the print designation file. A printing device reads the print designation file from the memory card, then takes out the image data to be printed from the memory card in accordance with the read information and executes printing. Thus, it is possible to perform the print designation of the specified image in the moving image without wasting the memory capacity in the recording medium.

  • Patent number: 7733385
Abstract: First and second data areas are defined in an image file, and each area is defined to have an image data recording area and a header data recording area. When the image file is reproduced, header data in a first header data recording area at the leading end is read and first image data that has been recorded in the first image data recording area is reproduced. If an image file reproducing apparatus is one that can reproduce second image data that has been recorded in the second data area, then the second image data is read from the second area and reproduced. The first image data is data that has undergone JPEG compression, and the second image data is data that has not been compressed. Since the compressed first image data and uncompressed second image data can be stored in one file, an increase in number of files can be reduced even if there is an increase in types of image format.

  • Patent number: 7664296
Abstract: An input apparatus reads a patient ID from an ID card and transmits it to a computer. On the basis of the patient ID, the computer obtains corresponding patient information containing a photograph of the patient's face and the patient's name, from a medical database, and then transmits the patient information to the digital camera together with the patient ID. The digital camera displays the patient information to enable confirmation of the patient to be photographed. After the patient has been confirmed, the patient ID is filled in a header part of an image file for the image photographed using the digital camera, and the image file is transmitted to the medical database or the like. Thus, the input of the identification information input before photographing and the subject to be photographed can be easily confirmed.

  • Patent number: 7631256
Abstract: A Web page is displayed on a display screen of a digital camera. The Web page is composed of an image corresponding to one frame. When a radio button corresponding area is clicked, a http request indicating that the radio button corresponding area is clicked is transmitted from the digital camera to a conversion server. In the conversion server, a Web page in which the clicked radio button corresponding area is marked with a solid circle is generated. A html response representing the generated Web page is transmitted from the conversion server to the digital camera. The Web page in which the clicked radio button corresponding area is marked with a solid circle is displayed on the display screen of the digital camera. The radio button function of the Web page can be substantially utilized.

  • Patent number: 7630621
Abstract: In a camera body of an electronic camera, first information representing spectral characteristics of auxiliary light is read out of a nonvolatile memory under control of a CPU of the camera body. The first information is sent to a serial driver of a lens unit via a serial driver of the camera body. The lens unit includes a selector switch for changing a color signal to be inputted into an AE/AF detection circuit. In the lens unit, the first information is compared with second information representing spectral characteristics of the color signal which is changeable by the selector switch. On the basis of a comparison result, the selector switch is operated under control of a CPU of the lens unit such that the color signal having the spectral characteristics identical with the first information is inputted into the AE/AF detection circuit.

  • Patent number: 7605846
Abstract: A communication system includes a portable phone and a digital still camera. The user selects an image for transmission, and data indicating a frame number of the selected image is sent from the portable phone to the digital still camera. The portable phone sends a re-size instruction to the digital still camera. The digital still camera re-sizes the image data to reduce a data quantity thereof. The re-sized image data is sent from the digital still camera to the portable phone. The image data is sent from the portable phone via a network to a partner communication system. The image data has a reduced data quantity through the re-sizing and hence can be completely transmitted thereto in a relatively short period of time.
