Abstract: A resource list or a user profile is provided with a new parameter, called a group advertisement parameter, which indicates whether a user allows a group advertisement for an individual communication group or not. The user can set the group advertisement parameter in a resource list when he/she creates the communication group. When the user has created a communication group, a group communication server processes the group further as any other group. If the group communication server observes that a group advertisement parameter is present or set active, the server starts advertising the communication group to all group members or to a selected subset of group members.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a method and system for changing a subscription information of a subscriber in a data network. When a subscriber profile or subscription information is changed or updated, this is detected and a registration procedure for registering a terminal device (40) of the subscriber to a new serving network element (12) is initiated in response to the result of a checking step for checking whether a capability of a network element (10) serving a terminal device (40) of said subscriber is still in accordance with said changed subscription information. Thereby, an automatic or semi-automatic adaptation of the serving entity to the changed subscription can be achieved.

Abstract: A method for handling service failures for in a communications network comprising a user equipment, a first network element and a serving network element, the method comprising the following steps. Receiving at the first network element a first message from the user equipment. Transmitting the first message from the first network element to the serving network element. Detecting at the first network element that the serving network element is out of service. Determining at the first network element the type of the first message, and in dependence on the type of the first message sending from the first network element to the user equipment an error message including an indication that the serving network element is out of service.

Abstract: The invention relates to a method and system for establishing an emergency session in a communication system which includes at least one user equipment and one or more network entities involved in establishing an emergency session. When the user equipment initiates a session by sending a message to a network entity indicating an identifier, e.g. the call number or logical name of a called entity, one of said network entities analyses the received identifier. When detecting that the session to be initiated is an emergency session, an information is returned to the user equipment for informing the latter that the initiated session is an emergency session. The user equipment thereupon initiates the execution of an emergency session. Thus, even when the user equipment is unable to detect, by itself, that the intended session is an emergency session, the network will inform the user equipment on the emergency session for ensuring appropriate handling thereof.
