The ingestible device (100, 200) comprises: a capsule (110, 120), a delivery member (130) being shaped to penetrate tissue of a lumen wall and having a tissue penetrating end and a trailing end, the delivery member (130) comprising a therapeutic payload, a ram (150) attached relative to the delivery member (130) at the trailing end; and an actuator (140) coupled to the ram (150) and having a first configuration and a second configuration, the delivery member (130) being retained by the ram (150) within the capsule (110, 120) when the actuator (140) is in the first configuration, wherein the delivery member (130) is configured to be advanced from the capsule (110, 120) and into the lumen wall by movement of the actuator (140) from the first configuration to the second configuration such that the delivery member (130) moves along a predefined trajectory.

    Abstract: A drug delivery assembly comprising a sensor system in combination with an indicator arranged to rotate, the amount of rotation being indicative of the size of an expelled dose amount. The sensor system comprises a sensor assembly adapted to measure a rotational position and/or a rotational movement of the indicator, the sensor assembly comprising a sensor element adapted to be operated at a non-constant sampling frequency. A processor is configured to determine on the basis of measured values from the sensor element rotational position(s) and/or amount of rotational movement of the indicator, as well as rotational speed of the indicator. To optimize energy consumption the processor is configured to dynamically control the sampling frequency in response to the determined rotational speed.
