  • Publication number: 20050125830
Abstract: Methods and apparatuses for transmitting data in a television broadcast, such as: a method and an arrangement for transmitting data to a terminal of a radio system, a method and a system for providing interactive television, a method for running a network game, a network game server, a local game server, and a game terminal. The arrangement for transmitting data to a terminal of a radio system includes a receiver configured to receive a television broadcast, a processing unit configured to separate data from the received television broadcast, and a transmitter configured to transmit the separated data through a wireless connection to the terminal.

  • Patent number: 5844166
Abstract: In the present invention the cover-like part (21) of an RF shield is manufactured from a transparent material, e.g., plastic, and unplated areas that function as light conductors (22) are left in the conductive plating covering the shield. The present invention combines an RF shield and a light conductor into one structure whose manufacturing process is quite easy to control. The present invention eliminates the necessity of having separate plates that function as light conductors.

  • Patent number: 5708707
Abstract: A telephone holder according to the present invention includes a carrier (101) and a body (102), which are able to move vertically in relation to each other between two extreme positions. In the first extreme position an electrical connector of the telephone (111) is galvanically connected to a counterpart (109) of the connector in the holder. In the second extreme position the connector is disconnected from the counterpart. The carrier is joined to the body by means of slide surfaces (103, 104), which permit the carrier to move back and forth vertically in relation to the body between said extreme positions. The movement and its extent are governed by springs (106), for example. The holder according to the present invention can be accurately formed according to the contours of the telephone (111), preventing the telephone from moving laterally while in the holder, facilitating alignment of the connector with the counterpart (109).

  • Patent number: 5603103
Abstract: An assembly and method of assembly for shielding a radio telephone. First and second shields are disposed either side of a circuit board and urged together thereby sandwiching the circuit board. The first shield is relatively rigid compared to the second shield and can cause any deformities in the second shield to be compensated for by the second shield being urged against a rigid first shield, the shields may be removably coupled together which permits simple and quick disassembly if changes or repairs need to be made to the radio telephone.

  • Patent number: 5371481
Abstract: Structure and technique, for calibrating a vector modulator that does not require a network analyzer, are disclosed which are incorporated in a vector modulation system comprising a standard vector modulator circuit including means for shifting phase to adjust the relative phases of the I and Q components of the modulated RF carrier. Means for attenuating are included in the I and Q modulation system to adjust the relative amplitude of the modulation signals. The disclosure describes a technique wherein the microwave transmitter's I and Q phase difference is measured by measuring the power levels of the I and the Q signals. The power levels are compared and a correction value is stored in a read-only memory to compensate for the error.

  • Patent number: 5253146
Abstract: An earthed intermediate frame (2) fitted between circuit boards (1) is provided with through apertures (8) for connectors (4) connecting the circuit boards (1), and grooves (6) are provided in register with the signal runs (5) on the surface of the circuit board (1), located on the surface of the intermediate frame (2) placed against the surface of the circuit board. The intermediate frame made of a metal or the surfaces of the apertures (8) surrounding the connectors (4) connecting the circuit boards (1) and of the grooves (6) covering the signal runs (5) of the circuit board (1) have been coated with an earthed metal folio (7).
