  • Patent number: 12375174
Abstract: Techniques for evaluating performance of a Passive Optical Network (PON), include: obtaining a plurality of network performance metrics for an optical network terminal (ONT) for a customer in the PON, the PON including an optical line terminal (OLT) optically connected to a plurality of optical network terminals (ONTs) via a plurality of optical fibers; analyzing each of the plurality of network performance metrics to assign an individual quality metric to each of the plurality of network performance metrics; analyzing the individual quality metrics assigned to each of the plurality of network performance metrics to determine an overall quality metric for the ONT; and providing an indication of the overall quality metric for the ONT to at least one of a user interface or another computing device.

  • Patent number: 12191906
Abstract: Techniques for detecting an anomaly in a PON include generating an optical profile for the PON based on characteristics of network light level signals, collected over a first time period, delivered over the PON, and generating an optical profile for a customer based on characteristics of customer light level signals, collected over the first time period, delivered over the PON to or from an ONT for the customer. The techniques also include obtaining customer light level signals collected over a second time period, and detecting an anomaly in the PON for the customer in response to determining that the customer light level signals collected over the second time period deviate from the optical profile for the customer or the optical profile for the PON by more than a threshold amount.

  • Publication number: 20220086187
Abstract: A method and system provide a digital content file over a decentralized distribution system using an encrypted peer-to-peer network by (a) uploading a Layer 1 encrypted content file to a host device of the decentralized distribution system; (b) encrypting the digital content file with Layer 3 encryption using a public key of the host device; (c) exchanging a first temporary symmetric key between a seeder device of the decentralized distribution system and a peer device of the decentralized distribution system; (d) encrypting the digital content file with Layer 2 encryption using the first temporary symmetric key; (e) transmitting the Layer 2 encrypted digital content file to the peer device of the decentralized distribution system; (f) encrypting the digital content file with Layer 3 encryption using a public key of the peer device; (g) exchanging a second temporary symmetric key between the peer device of the decentralized distribution system and a consumer device outside the decentralized distribution syste
