  • Patent number: 10860987
Abstract: A system for providing a personalized calendar comprises a server that hosts a database storing digital product event data, which associates a plurality of digital products with respective digital products event dates. The server repeatedly updates the digital product event data in the database, provides a user interface for a user, with the user interface being displayable on a remote user device of the user and includes a calendar widget personalized for the user based on a user account. The server further converts at least one portion of the digital product event data to display it through the calendar widget. The server can also receive user input indicating a date and identify a digital product associated with that date. In response to the input, the server modifies the user interface to display, in addition to the calendar widget, a digital product widget associated with the identified digital product.

  • Patent number: 10568573
Abstract: Users of head-mounted displays (HMDs) often experience nausea and other symptoms often referred to a “virtual reality sickness.” Various health and biometric sensors are employed to gather baseline sensor measurements. The HMD or a device associated with it can then generate a range or threshold such that any future sensor measurements that fall outside of the range or cross the threshold suggest a health concern for the user of the HMD. The HMD can also be coupled to a microphone, and natural language processing (NLP) is employed to detect negative words or noises made by the user that could also suggest a health concern for the user. After detecting the health concern, the HMD can warn its user, can shut off certain functions, can communicate with an external device, or can trigger an alarm.

  • Patent number: 6236844
Abstract: A proportional diversity radio system for mobile vehicles combats both short time delay multipath and long time delay multipath by mixing separate tuner signals obtained using separate space diversity antennas. The relative contribution of each tuner signal to a final mixed tuner output is determined in direct relation to their respective signal strength signals and inverse relation to their respective long time delay multipath noise signals.

  • Patent number: 6141536
Abstract: An RDS receiver having dual tuners and dual antennas operates in two distinct modes, a diversity mode and a non-diversity mode. Diversity mode is when both tuners are tuned to a signal with the same program audio content and the audio from both tuners is blended together in a manner to minimize the effects of multipath distortion. In non-diversity mode, a forcing circuit isolates the tuner output signals so that one tuner provides the audio output while the other can be retuned to any other frequency for purposes of gathering RDS data.

  • Patent number: 6064865
Abstract: A space diversity, multiple-tuner radio receiver obtains substantially noise free reception under most signal conditions. The tuner outputs are mixed in proportion with the signal quality as determined by detecting noise in each tuner output signal. Long-time-delay multipath distortion, adjacent channel interference, and co-channel interference are reduced by selecting predetermined antenna pattern combinations in response to high noise levels being present from both tuners.
