Abstract: An improved method for washing textiles comprising contacting soiled textiles with a foamed detergent solution, said solution containing from 10 to 5o gm per liter of a cleaning composition containing at least some non-ionic surface-active compounds, and being employed in a liquor ratio of 1:1 to 1:5, said detergent solution being foamed by air to a liter weight of 5 to 30 gm before contacting said soiled textiles, agitating said soiled textiles in the presence of said foamed detergent solution for at least 30 seconds, spinning off said foamed detergent solution under sufficient force to break said foam, and to extract said detergent solution, repeating the above steps at least five times, then rinsing said textiles and recovering cleaned textiles.

Abstract: An improvement in the process for the production of powdery washing and cleansing agent compositions containing finely-divided water-insoluble silicate compounds, capable of binding calcium, soap, and, optionally, other surface-active compounds, builders and other customary detergent additives by spray-drying a slurry and recovering said powdery washing and cleansing agent composition which comprises separately spray-drying a slurry rich in said silicate compounds and combining the spray-dried powders with the remaining ingredients in powdery form; as well as the powdery washing and cleansing agents so produced.

Abstract: A method for the mechanical washing of dishes, wherein the soiled dishes are treated with an aqueous alkaline liquor having a pH of from 8 to 13 which contains at least one compound inhibiting alkaline earth metal ion precipitation, rinsing and recovering cleaned dishes comprising using finely-dispersed, water-insoluble silicate compounds having a calcium-binding power of at least 50 mg CaO/gm of anhydrous substance and having the formula, combined water not shown, of(M.sub.2/n O).sub.x .multidot. Me.sub.2 O.sub.3 .multidot. (SiO.sub.2).sub.ywhere M is a cation of the valence n, exchangeable with calcium, x is a number of from 0.7 to 1.5, Me is a member selected from aluminum and boron and y is a number of from 0.8 to 6, as said compound inhibiting alkaline earth metal ion precipitation as well as alkaline-reacting mechanical dish washing compositions containing said silicate compounds.

Abstract: Heat dried, finely-divided compositions of optical brighteners and fillers comprising as said fillers at least partly of a finely-divided water-insoluble silicate compound containing at least some combined water and having a calcium binding power of at least 50 mg CaO/gm of anhydrous active substance and the formula on the anhydrous basis(M.sub.2 /.sub.n O).sub.x . Me.sub.2 O.sub.3 . (SiO.sub.2).sub.ywhere M is a cation of the valence n, exchangeable with calcium, x is a member of from 0.7 to 1.5, Me is a member selected from the group consisting of aluminum and boron, and y is a number from 0.8 to 6, preferably from 1.3 to 4, in an amount of at least 5% by weight of the mixture, as well as a process for producing the same comprising the steps of mixing said silicate compound, while at least still moist from its production, with said optical brighteners and converting the entire mixture of components into a pourable product.

Abstract: The invention relates to textile fibrous structures impregnated with nonionic surface active agents and suitable for cleaning purposes, in which the textile fibrous structures are built up from water-insoluble high polymers with a content of carboxyl groups, which are mostly present in the form of the alkali metal salts or ammonium salts or as salts of organic ammonium bases, and the impregnation comprises at least one nonionic surface-active agent from the group of the alkylene oxide derivatives, the turbidity or cloud point of which lies below 80.degree.C, as well as the method of preparation.

Abstract: The invention relates to textile fibrous structures suitable for cleaning purposes and impregnated with surface-active agents, in which the textile fibrous structures are built up from water-insoluble high polymers with a content of carboxyl groups able to form salts, which are present substantially as free carboxyl groups, and the impregnation consists of at least one non-ionic surface-active agent from the group of water-soluble alkylene oxide derivatives, the turbidity or cloud point of which lies above 20.degree.C, as well as the method of production.
