Patent number: 11299936Abstract: A downhole tool, for selectively reaming a wellbore or stabilizing drill string components within a wellbore, includes an elongate tool body adapted to receive reamer cartridges or stabilizer cartridges. The reamer cartridges are radially insertable into corresponding pockets in the tool body, with each reamer cartridge having a reamer insert with an array of cutting elements. The reamer insert is disposed within a bushing and is rotatable relative thereto, about a rotational axis transverse to the longitudinal axis of the tool. However, the rotational axis is offset from the tool body axis, resulting in eccentric contact of the cutting elements with the wall of the wellbore, which in turn imparts rotation to the reamer insert when the tool is moved axially through a wellbore without rotation. When the tool is used for stabilization, the reamer cartridges are removed and replaced with stabilizer cartridges having stabilizer inserts with hard-faced stabilizer cones.Type: GrantFiled: October 1, 2020Date of Patent: April 12, 2022Assignee: Dynomax Drilling Tools Inc.Inventors: Michael James Harvey, Jovan Vacar, Milan Rajic

Patent number: 9073588Abstract: The present invention includes a load bearing mid-section weldment connected between a pair of telescoping incremental stepper assemblies to create a clearance space beneath the load bearing mid-section weldment and the telescoping incremental stepper assemblies thereby allowing the heavy machinery substructure to move and work over ground obstructions. Each telescoping incremental stepper assembly includes a bridge weldment connected between a pair of telescoping legs. Each telescoping leg includes at least one pair of nested leg sections and a linear actuator to adjust the length of the telescoping leg. Each telescoping leg further includes a fixed foot and an articulating pad assembly. The articulating pad assembly is configured to alternatively lift the foot and itself from the ground and moves the foot and itself relative to one another to move the heavy machinery substructure in incremental steps over the ground and any obstructions.Type: GrantFiled: June 5, 2014Date of Patent: July 7, 2015Assignee: ORION DRILLING COMPANYInventors: Wayne Squires, Milan Rajic, Jovan Vracar, Philip Seely, Ozzie Rios, David Gibson

Publication number: 20060008371Abstract: A fluid lifting for a lifting a geological fluid from a formation via a well while limiting environmental impact is provided. The fluid lifting system includes an assembly that is adapted to be raised and lowered within a lift tube by a cable or wire-line. When lowered the assembly traps a predetermined volume of fluid which is then lifted through the lift tube upon raising the assembly. The assembly includes two main components a valve body and a collar which is slidable along the valve body. The valve body includes an axial bore allowing atmospheric air to readily pass through the valve body so as to equalize air pressure across the valve body. The collar includes a fluid passage that is open to fluid flow when the collar is in a raised position along the valve body and which is closed to fluid flow when in a lowered position along the valve body.Type: ApplicationFiled: July 12, 2004Publication date: January 12, 2006Inventor: Milan Rajic
