  • Publication number: 20170036541
Abstract: The present invention discloses a mm-wave radar sensor to be deployed in the vehicles for seat occupation detection applications. The key system relevant components are utilization of mm-wave integrated radar, specific planar high-gain antenna radiation pattern, and analyzing of the heartbeat and optionally also respiratory dynamics. The method of operation calculates probability of the seat occupation event regarding: detection of the passenger on the seat, detection of a baby or a child on the seat, detection of the presence of a baby or a child in the vehicle after the driver has left the vehicle, detection of the human or animal presence of intrusion in specific vehicle environment. In case that probability is above a predefined threshold, typically the interaction with vehicle control system is initiated using arbitrary automotive interfaces. Corresponding predefined actions are taken in that case.

  • Patent number: 6094950
Abstract: The invention provides a lock assembly suitable for securing a swing door hinged to a refrigerated cabinet and is intended to dissuade pilfering. The lock assembly includes a strike plate having a mounting plate for mounting to the cabinet, and a locking plate spaced from the mounting plate. The lock assembly further includes a door bracket having an outer door plate to be located on an outer surface of the swing door, and a locking member mounted to the door bracket. The locking member has a locking shaft connected to the locking member for rotation with the locking member. The locking member is locatable between the mounting plate and locking plate of the strike plate and against the locking plate to lock the swing door to the cabinet in a first angular position of the locking shaft, and released from the locking plate to unlock the swing door in a second angular position of the locking shaft.

  • Patent number: 5678421
Abstract: A modular refrigeration unit comprising a condenser assembly and an evaporator assembly is bottom-mounted inside a merchandising display cooler such that cool air emerging from the evaporator assembly rises in a plenum defined between an insulated back wall of the cooler and an interior back panel. The cold air passage is centrally disposed between return warm air passages for returning air from the inside of the cabinet into the evaporator assembly. Air inlet and outlet openings are provided at selected locations on the interior back panel. The evaporator assembly is disposed above an evaporator pan which is integrally formed with a well for collecting condensed water vapor and discharging the collected moisture on the other side of a bulkhead insulating the evaporator assembly from a condenser assembly exposed to the ambient atmosphere.
