  • Patent number: 12177934
Abstract: In a 5G network, control unit (CU) can be connected to a radio access network controller (RC). In response to receiving measurement data from the CU, the RC can process the measurement data to determine polices and procedures related to radio resource management, and/or radio resource control, which can then be utilized to manage mobility, dual-connectivity, carrier aggregation, and/or integrated access and backhaul topology formation and routing. The measurement data provided by the CU can be provided directly to the RC without processing of the measurement data by the CU.

  • Publication number: 20240397375
Abstract: A system can facilitate assigning guaranteed bitrate (GBR) admission control thresholds in a network with multiple network slices serving multiple GBR services. Thus, each network slice can optionally have its own dedicated GBR admission. For example, based on a requested service, the system can compare a received quality indicator to a threshold value to determine if a bearer shall be admitted in accordance with dedicated GBR admission control region within its slice. If the slice does not have its own GBR admission control region or if its threshold is reached, the system can compare the received quality indicator to another threshold value to determine if the bearer shall be admitted in accordance with a common GBR admission control region.

  • Patent number: 12096455
Abstract: The described technology is generally directed towards operating a user equipment node as a scheduler user equipment (e.g., which can be a local manager of other nodes in a group). The scheduler user equipment receives a scheduling request for the scheduling of the resources for transmission of data by a transmitter user equipment, and based on the traffic type requested, schedules the transmitter user equipment and receiver user equipment(s) with scheduling data/allocated radio resources. The transmitter user equipment can directly transmit to the receiver user equipment(s) on the allocated radio resources, e.g., without further involvement of the scheduler user equipment/local manager. For cellular data, the scheduler user equipment can schedule the transmitter user equipment to transmit to the scheduler user equipment as a receiver node.

  • Patent number: 12010058
Abstract: A delay doppler domain transformation can be used to estimate characteristics of a channel between a base station and a user equipment or alternatively, between the user equipment and another user equipment. Thus, the velocity and the distance position of the user equipment can be calculated. For example, a signal received in the time-frequency domain, can be converted to the delay doppler domain by the base station. In response to the conversion, the base station can estimate the velocity of the user equipment. The velocity can be utilized by various applications. For example, the velocity can be utilized to alert the other user equipment to the location or an anticipated location of the user equipment.
