    Abstract: A fitness device for controlling the speed and/or direction of a rolling round member. In one embodiment, the present invention includes a round member and a separate hand-held assembly. The hand-held assembly may comprise an upstanding member positioned between a handle assembly and an engaging member. When the fitness device is moved vertically, laterally, in a twisting fashion, or a combination thereof, such that the engaging member contacts the round member during such motion, the speed and/or direction of the round member may be altered.
