Abstract: A method for controlling a user notification window (UNW). Under this method: (i) an initial-form UNW is generated in response to detection of existence of a first precondition; (ii) the first initial-form UNW is displayed on a display device; and (iii) subsequent to the initial display of the initial-form UNW and in response to the detection of a second precondition, control is applied that overwrites the display of the first initial-form UNW on the display device. The second precondition is a precondition other than a response made by a user of the display.

Abstract: Managing shared hardware assets within an organization includes determining a shared hardware asset utilized by at least one invitee to a meeting and calculating a workload for the shared hardware asset for each of a plurality of proposed meeting times for the meeting. The proposed meeting times are ranked according to a comparison of the workload for each proposed meeting with a shared hardware asset objective.

Abstract: A method includes receiving a print request, the print request including a number of pages to be printed; determining an approximate number of sheets of paper in a printer cache; if the number of pages to be printed is greater than the approximate number of sheets of paper in the printer cache, determining whether the print request indicates that page reduction is allowed; if page reduction is allowed, shrinking the pages to be printed for printing multiple pages on each sheet such that all pages will be printed on the available number of sheets of paper in the printer cache; and if page reduction is not allowed, not shrinking the pages.
