  • Publication number: 20220324351
Abstract: Operating a motor vehicle (1) by adjusting the temperature of one or more vehicle parts (3, 4). One method includes specifying (S2) an indication of an expected beginning-of-driving time (FBZ) of the motor vehicle (1) and a desired operating temperature (BT) of the one or more vehicle parts (3, 4); and waking up (S6) a controller (22), which is configured to control adjustment of the temperature of the respective vehicle part (3, 4), at a temperature-adjustment starting time (A2) which is chosen such that, if heating up or cooling down begins at the temperature-adjustment starting time (A2), the heating up or cooling down ends, by reaching the desired operating temperature (BT) of the corresponding vehicle part (3, 4), at a time which corresponds to the expected beginning-of-driving time (FBZ) or is just before the expected beginning-of-driving time (FBZ).

  • Patent number: 10144405
Abstract: An output controller for an engine control for an engine system having an internal combustion engine and an electric generator coupled to the internal combustion engine. The output controller including a computing device, an inertia compensator, and an efficiency calculator. The computing device is configured to calculate a target rotational speed for the electric generator and an output torque for the internal combustion engine The inertia compensating device is configured to calculate a torque transmitted to a shaft of the generator and a desired torque for the internal combustion engine. The efficiency calculator is configured to calculate a degree of efficiency of the engine system and to adapt the value for a mechanical target output for the engine system.

  • Patent number: 10033315
Abstract: The invention relates to a phase control loop for the rotational speed regulation of an electric generator fed by an internal combustion engine, having an input connection, which is designed to receive a rotational speed signal measured on a drive shaft of the electric generator, an amplitude determination device, which is coupled to the input connection and which is designed to determine the amplitude of rotational speed ripples of the measured rotational speed signal, a correction function device, which is coupled to the amplitude determination device and the input connection and which is designed to determine a rotational speed correction signal on the basis of the determined amplitude of the rotational speed ripple and of the measure rotational speed signal, a phase discriminator, which is coupled to the amplitude determination device and the correction function device and which is designed to determine a phase difference signal between the measured rotational speed signal and the rotational speed correct

  • Publication number: 20170320479
Abstract: The invention relates to an output controller for an engine control for an engine system comprising an internal combustion engine and in electric generator coupled to the internal combustion engine; a computer device which is designed to receive a mechanical target output for the engine system and a maximally permissible rotational speed for the generator and to calculate a target rotational speed for the electric generator and an output torque for the internal combustion engine on the basis of the target output and the maximally permissible rotational speed; an inertia compensating device which is designed to calculate a torque transmitted to a shaft of the generator by a mass moment of inertia of the internal combustion engine on the basis of a change of the target rotational speed for the electric generator and to calculate a target torque for the internal combustion engine on the basis of the transmitted torque and the calculated output torque of the internal combustion engine; and an efficiency calculati

  • Patent number: 9482142
Abstract: A cooling system for thermal management of an electric vehicle having a range extender. The temperature of the components of the electric drive system of the electric vehicle and at least that of the internal combustion engine of an internal combustion engine/generator unit of the range extender are controlled by separate cooling circuits. The cooling circuit of the electric drive and the cooling circuit of the internal combustion engine are coupled to one another thermally by a heat exchanger.
