Abstract: Method of and apparatus for splicing fibrous formations, particularly yarns. Mutually closely arranged parallel and overlapping ends of the fibrous formations to be spliced are disposed inside the pressure channel of a splicing chamber. The thus disposed fibrous formations are subjected to the whirling action of pressure air and at least at one of the mouth of said pressure channel they are subjected to the action of an air flow from the pressure channel, such air flow vibrating at a high frequency. Such vibration of the air flow is achieved by directing the air flow column from the pressure channel toward an obstacle confronting and near the mouth of the pressure channel. Such obstacle may be made adjustable, whereby to adjust the frequency of vibration of the air flow column.

Abstract: Method of and apparatus for preparing and splicing the ends of fibrous formations, particularly in the pressure channel of a pneumatic splicing chamber provided with a displaceable lid. Excess lengths of ends of fibrous formations to be spliced are placed within the pressure channel in overlapping substantially parallel relationship and are then cut to a desired length by cutting means such as scissors. Following such cutting operation, the fibrous formations within the pressure channel are bent without gripping over the edges of the mouth of the pressure channel, whereby to hold the sections of the fibrous formations within the channel in generally parallel relationship.

Abstract: The present invention relates to a nozzle for texturing a thread by a gaseous fluid flow. The nozzle is provided with an angular channel for guiding a thread, a channel for feeding gaseous fluid thereto, opening obliquely into the angular channel, and at the exit of the angular channel is located a texturing bridge. A second channel for guiding a second thread is provided, which opens obliquely into the angular channel for guiding the first thread.

Abstract: There is disclosed a nozzle for texturing thread by a gaseous fluid stream. The nozzle is provided with a first duct for guiding the thread and a second duct for feeding the gaseous fluid and opening at an angle or skewed into the first duct. The section of the first duct is angular; to the exit end of the first duct there is attached a texturing bridge formed by a tube provided with a longitudinal recess which is directed opposite to the exit end of the first duct.
