  • Patent number: 9254218
Abstract: A male external urinary catheter system includes an external collector having a proximal portion configured to receive a user's penis and a distal portion, a retaining structure configured to urge the proximal end of the external collector against the user's body adjacent the base of the penis, and a drainage container coupled to the distal portion of the external collector.

  • Publication number: 20120038124
Abstract: The present invention relates to strollers for infants and young children, and more particularly to a stroller for hands-free use, such as while jogging. In one embodiment, a jogging stroller includes a stroller for a baby carriage or carseat, and a drawbar extending forward from the front of the stroller. A harness at the front of the drawbar attaches to the user's waist, enabling the user to pull the stroller forward hands-free. The drawbar is connected at one end to the waist harness by a joint that pivots about at least two axes. The drawbar is connected at the opposite end to the front of the stroller by a joint that pivots about one or two axes. These joints give the user the flexibility to move in various directions with the rigid drawbar drawing the stroller behind. The stroller includes a frame that is sized and shaped to receive various different carseats or other baby seats or carriers.

  • Patent number: 5033738
Abstract: A central, length-delineated spine is formed by successive U shaped arms to which a pair of novel starting blocks can be attached, one on each side, and slid to such positions as desired by the runner. Each starting block is formed with a hollow open bottom side housing or box which will fit down over an anchorage block carried by successive U arms so as to lock the two together at a particular position along the spine. When raised free of such lockage, a starting block can be slid lengthwise due to (a) a pair of projecting lips or edge rails formed lengthwise along the starting block and along the hollow housing, and (b) composite slide rails formed by alignment of successive anchor blocks of a line of arms. Such starting blocks are easily raised and slid to new positions but cannot fall off the assembly (which might injure a foot) even if the assembly is inverted.

  • Patent number: 4611803
Abstract: A portable starting block assembly for a track runner wherein the central alignment bar is formed in half-length segments for side-by-side lodgment during traveling, plus quick coupling means to fasten together the pieces during use. Also carries holding means for each anchorage pin against a block during non-use. The underface of the bar is formed with a lengthwise channel to receive an electric cable connecting an electronic reception unit at the rear with a front-end audio unit such as a start-signal microphone.

  • Patent number: 4561650
Abstract: A runner's starting block such as is attachable, one on each side of a longitudinal alignment frame, in staggered relation, so as to position each foot of a runner at a selected position for the start of a race. The block can have the tilt of its foot contact plate minutely adjusted to the liking of each particular runner, by interacting screw and nut elements terminally pivoted to move the rear of the foot contact plate, which setting is readable in degrees and accordingly reproducible on other similar blocks. Block also has extension plate adjustable to support heel or instep of runner's shoe as desired.

  • Patent number: 4089519
Abstract: A starting block assembly for locating at a starting position of a running track. An elongated, ground-anchorable central bar is formed with a pair of back-to-back T-shape lengthwise slide tracks, each opening to a respective side of the bar and receiving therethrough an L-shaped runner which extends from the side of a respective starting block having a spring-tensioned anchor pin receivable in a series of positioning sockets located along the bar. Each triangular shaped block has concave front and rear, transverse contact faces, one with a resilient surface and the other spike-receiving openings to accommodate the shoes of a user. Use of a chosen surface depends on the directional positioning of the assembly. The T-track is self-cleaning of grit which might otherwise jam movement of the L-runner along the track, due to possibility of transversely rocking the block on the longitudinal axis of the runner when the anchor pin is disengaged.
