  • Publication number: 20060057227
Abstract: An orally administered composition for relieving or eliminating snoring is described. The composition generally has four mechanisms of action for combating snoring. The composition includes a tissue-firming or astringent agent to firm up throat tissue. The composition also includes a soothing agent to soothe irritated or inflamed tissues. Also included in the composition is a lubricant to moisten dry or dehydrated tissues, and a mucous-thinning or expectorant agent to help remove any obstructive matter near the throat tissues.

  • Patent number: 6609200
Abstract: The invention includes a markup language according to the SGML standard in which document type definitions are created under which electronic documents are divided into blocks that are associated with logical fields that are specific to the type of block. Each of many different types of electronic documents can have a record mapping to a particular environment, such as a legacy environment of a banking network, a hospital's computer environment for electronic record keeping, a lending institution's computer environment for processing loan applications, or a court or arbitrator's computer system. Semantic document type definitions for various electronic document types (including, for example, electronic checks, mortgage applications, medical records, prescriptions, contracts, and the like) can be formed using mapping techniques between the logical content of the document and the block that is defined to include such content.

  • Patent number: 6097801
Abstract: A method of providing number portability for the treatment of calls from a calling party to a specific number of a ported called party is disclosed. Once the dialed digits are received at a switching office serving the calling party, a determination is made of whether the call is a number that has been ported. If the number has been ported, the new routing information is obtained from an enhanced directory number table resident at the originating office. In the event that the originating office is unable to offer LRN service, information is obtained at an alternate office. Routing information is updated automatically and directly from a network Service Management System (SMS) to each telephone exchange.
