Publication number: 20260168784Abstract: This invention discloses a standard test method and an associated standard apparatus for evaluating the accuracy of mobile phone apps designed to measure concrete crack widths. The said standard apparatus comprises at least a standardized crack-width calibration plate (CWCP), a simulated wall (SW), a pose adjusting and fixing device (PAFD), and a spatial distance measuring assemblage (SDMA). The standard test method employs an innovative two-stage method associated with the SDMA to synchronously calculate and display the average distances (Ki, where i=1 to 4) from the four corner points of a mobile phone to the SW. With continuous feedback, the phone's spatial position can be adjusted using the PAFD until the four monitored Ki values match the target Ki. Subsequently, an app installed on the phone is used to measure crack widths on the CWCP.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 6, 2025Publication date: June 18, 2026Applicant: NATIONAL CHI NAN UNIVERSITYInventors: Chyuan-Hwan Jeng, Min Chao
