  • Patent number: 8944897
Abstract: A ventilation system and a controlling method of such a ventilation system are provided. The ventilation system may exhaust internal air from and draw fresh external air into a designated space. When an outdoor temperature is below a freezing point, some of the internal components of the ventilation system may be damaged due to the low external air temperature. This ventilation system controls operation of a supply fan and/or an exhaust fan based on the temperature of supplied and/or exhausted air to prevent such damage.

  • Patent number: 8007553
Abstract: There is provided a ceiling type air conditioner capable of controlling the operation of at least one of a moving unit for moving a brush assembly or a suctioning unit for suctioning foreign matters stored in the brush assembly based on the position of the brush assembly for collecting and storing the foreign matters filtered by a filter. Therefore, it is possible to properly control the movement of the brush assembly to effectively collect and store the foreign matters filtered by the filter. In addition, since a user does not have to exchange or clean the filter, it is possible to prevent inconvenience from being caused by exchanging or cleaning the filter and to prevent the filter from being contaminated.

  • Patent number: 7316261
Abstract: A heat exchanging system of a ventilating device includes: a heat exchanging housing communicating with an outdoor air passage and an indoor air passage; a rotational shaft rotatably supported at one side of the case of a ventilating device; and a heat exchanging elements mounted at an outer circumferential surface of the rotational shaft at regular intervals, and performing a heat-exchanging operation of outdoor air and indoor air while being rotated by a wind force of outdoor air passing the outdoor air passage and a blow force of indoor air passing the indoor air passage. Thus, any additional driving unit is not necessary to rotate the heat exchanging system, so that a fabrication cost can be reduced, the overall size of the ventilating device can be reduced, and a noise and vibration can be reduced.

  • Patent number: 7237603
Abstract: A heat exchanger of a ventilating system includes a plurality of heat exchange plates which are laminated at a predetermined interval, a first heat exchange portion which is positioned among the heat exchange plates and through which outdoor air passes and a second heat exchange portion which is positioned among the heat exchange plates in turn with the first heat exchange portion and through which indoor air passes. The first and second heat exchange portions are composed of a plurality of heat exchange members having a predetermined length, and an inner surface of one heat exchange member and an outer surface of the other heat exchange member are aligned to face each other. Accordingly, the heat exchanger can improve heat transfer performance by restraining development of a boundary layer by improving air flowing structure of the heat exchanger.
