    Abstract: A numerically controlled lathe includes a spindle, a hydraulic rotary cylinder driven by a pressurized working fluid for causing the spindle to rotate, a fluid pump for discharging the working fluid to be delivered to the hydraulic rotary cylinder, a reservoir for storage of the working fluid, first and second delivery conduits each having first and second ends, the first ends of the delivery conduits selectively connected to the fluid pump and the reservoir, and a fluid coupler for coupling the second ends of the delivery conduits with the hydraulic rotary cylinder.
