Abstract: A quality of service (QoS) securing apparatus and method using a communication protocol is provided. The QoS securing method is performed by a reception side that is receiving data from a transmission side. The method includes generating information about a changed communication environment according to a change in a communication environment of the reception side, and transmitting the information to the transmission side. An exchange of information about a communication environment using the communication protocol between the reception side and the transmission side can inform the transmission side about resources of the reception side, link characteristics, characteristics of a link on a transmission path, etc., thereby securing a QoS of data communication between the reception side and the transmission side.

Abstract: An apparatus and method for transferring optical data in an optical switching system are provided. When optical data input to a node are in contention, the optical data are converted from optical signals to electrical signals and temporarily stored. When an output resource is available, the stored optical data are converted to the available output resource and transmitted to a desired destination node. This overcomes the buffering depth limit that is observed when a conventional optical fiber delay line is used. Accordingly, an optical data loss rate can be reduced such that optical data can be efficiently transferred. Further, non-contending optical data are directly delivered to output resource by the switching unit, thereby reducing the cost of optical/electrical conversion and wavelength conversion and enabling the apparatus to be implemented at low cost.

Abstract: A method for fabricating a MOS transistor in a semiconductor device is disclosed. An example method subjects a surface of a semiconductor substrate to thermal oxidation to form an oxide film for forming a gate insulating film, deposits a polysilicon layer on the oxide film for forming a gate, applies a coat of photoresist onto the polysilicon layer, and performs exposure and development by using an exposure mask which defines the gate to form a photoresist pattern covering a region where the gate is to be formed. The example method also performs dry etching to remove the polysilicon layer for forming the gate and the oxide film for forming the gate insulating film, which are not protected with the photoresist pattern, to form a gate pattern, performs annealing under a nitrogen environment to form a nitrided oxide film, and forms buried lightly doped impurity ion layers on opposite sides of the gate pattern.

Abstract: Disclosed herein is a composition for promoting hair growth. The composition comprises an Asiasari Radix extract as an active ingredient wherein the Asiasari Radix extract exhibits superior induction of the anagen phase of the hair growth cycle. The composition exhibits excellent hair loss prevention and hair growth promoting effects. In particular, when the composition further comprises an inhibitor of 5?-reductase activity and an activator of hair follicle cells, it exhibits better hair loss prevention and hair growth promoting effects.

In an embodiment of the present invention, an AP, which an STA associates with, transmits security keys needed for roaming to neighbor APs of the AP. When the STA moves to one of the neighbor APs, a reassociation is carried out between the STA and the neighbor AP using the already provided security key. In another embodiment of the present invention, an authentication server transmits security keys needed for roaming to neighbor APs to which the STA is likely to move, so that when the STA moves to one of the neighbor APs, a reassociation is carried out between the STA and the neighbor AP using the already provided security key.
