Patent number: 9367446Abstract: A computer system and a data recovery method are provided. The computer system includes an embedded controller (EC). The data recovery method includes following steps. When the computer system stores data into the EC through a basic input/output system (BIOS), the data is backed up into a non-volatile random access memory (NVRAM) by the BIOS. The EC enters a power-off mode. The data is obtained from the NVRAM and is stored back to the EC after the EC leaves the power-off mode. Accordingly, the EC recovers from the power-off mode.Type: GrantFiled: August 27, 2013Date of Patent: June 14, 2016Assignee: Wistron CorporationInventors: Wen-Tai Lin, Min-Hsien Chang

Publication number: 20100100993Abstract: The invention is directed to a new mango tree variety ‘FP2’ which is the mutation of the parent cultivar ‘FP1’. The mango tree produces medium a little red fruit on a yellow ground color, and matured in August. The fruit seems to be resistant to Anthracnose and good storage capacity. The flesh of the fruit is orange yellow, high juice content, low fiber content, low acidity, good taste with high sugar content. The core is small.Type: ApplicationFiled: October 17, 2008Publication date: April 22, 2010Inventor: Min-Hsien Chang

Patent number: 7472512Abstract: A method includes a burning step, a cleaning step, a drugging step, a covering step, and a sealing step to effectively exterminate insect pests inside and outside an ant mound. Specifically, the ant mound is intermittently burnt with flame to kill the insect pests that run out of the ant mound in batches. The ant mound is then removed to expose outlets of ant channels. Next, pharmaceuticals are placed in and surround the outlets of the ant channels. A container is then placed on top of and covers the outlets of the ant channels. The container is sealed to isolate the interior of the container from the exterior of the container, avoiding leakage of gasified pharmaceuticals and preventing entrance of ambient fresh air into the container. Sunlight transmitting the container gasifies the pharmaceuticals in the container, and gasified pharmaceuticals flow into deep channels to kill the insect pests.Type: GrantFiled: June 11, 2007Date of Patent: January 6, 2009Inventors: Min-Hsien Chang, Jin-Tien Chang

Patent number: 7398619Abstract: A fort includes a defense, a top cover, and a plurality of shooting windows. The top cover is mounted on top of the defense. The top cover includes an inverted bowl-like top wall with an opening. The top cover further includes a peripheral wall extending along a periphery of the top wall. The peripheral wall includes a plurality of engaging holes. Each shooting window includes a plurality of engaging holes. A plurality of fasteners are extended through the engaging holes of each shooting window and the engaging holes of the top cover, thereby releasably mounting the shooting windows to the peripheral wall of the top cover. A safe fort that can be assembled/dismantled easily and rapidly is thus provided.Type: GrantFiled: July 6, 2005Date of Patent: July 15, 2008Inventor: Min-Hsien Chang

Publication number: 20030150320Abstract: A cannon barrel is a conic hollow barrel cast from metal and includes two ends of different inner diameters. One of the ends of the conic hollow barrel having a relatively smaller inner diameter is secured to a cradle. A shot fired through the barrel gradually spreads while passing through the barrel. The explosion/impact area of the shot is thus enlarged, which could hit the target more easily.Type: ApplicationFiled: February 13, 2002Publication date: August 14, 2003Inventor: Min-Hsien Chang

Publication number: 20010034962Abstract: A bug-trapping cap comprises at least one radial extension extending radially from an outer periphery thereof. The radial extension includes a hollow interior. The hollow interior and a mouth of a bottle together define a zigzag passage when the bug-trapping cap is mounted to the mouth of the bottle such that the mouth of the bottle is not sealed by the bug-trapping cap. The zigzag passage has a downwardly facing opening to allow entrance of bugs and to prevent entrance of rain.Type: ApplicationFiled: March 9, 2001Publication date: November 1, 2001Inventor: Min-Hsien Chang
