  • Publication number: 20160339183
Abstract: An injector for bone regeneration is provided, including: a syringe; a needle having an embedding portion for embedding the needle in the syringe, an injecting portion integrally connected to the embedding portion and protruding from the syringe, and a channel penetrating through the embedding portion and the injecting portion for receiving an inducible bone regeneration material; and a pushing element having a rod that is less in diameter than the channel of the needle, slidably and axially disposed in the channel of the needle, for pushing the inducible bone regeneration material to move through the injecting portion and be injected into a bone portion of a patient, when the rod in the channel of the needle is pushed toward the injecting portion. The injector has a reduced size, and is beneficial for treatment of bone defects.

  • Publication number: 20150118649
Abstract: The present invention relates to a surface treatment method for an implant, comprising: providing an implant; and forming a ceramic layer on a surface of the implant by atomic layer deposition, wherein the ceramic layer has a thickness of 5-150 nm; a root mean square roughness increase in a range of 15 nm or less; and a friction coefficient of 0.1-0.5. The ceramic layer formed on the surface of the implant can fully encapsulate the surface of the implant with excellent uniformity to effectively block the free metal ions dissociated from the implant. Moreover, it has anti-oxidation and anti-corrosion effects, and greatly enhances the biocompatibility of the implant.

  • Patent number: 8133931
Abstract: The present invention discloses an acrylate nanocomposite material which can apply to optoelectronic device encapsulation, dental restorations and light waveguide. The acrylate nanocomposite material comprises an inorganic nano-particle, an acrylate monomer with at least one acrylate group, an imidized acrylate oligomer and a photo-initiator. The acrylate nanocomposite material photopolymerizes to form an organic/inorganic 3D network wherein the absorption (%) is 0.01 to 5.00 and the permeability (g mm/m2 day) is 0.01 to 10.00 thereof. In addition, the transmittance of the nanocomposite is over 90%.

  • Patent number: 6855197
Abstract: A method of restoring a tooth cavity is conducted by a direct or indirect method with a visible light curable nanocomposite of a dental restorative material with a low polymerization shrinkage, wherein the dental restorative material comprises an epoxy resin, inorganic oxide nano particles, a photoinitiator and a photosensitizer. The direct method involves the filling of the tooth cavity with the nanocomposite dental restorative material, stacking the nanocomposite dental restorative material in the tooth cavity, and curing with visible light followed by shaping and polishing. The indirect method involves making a mold of the tooth, casting the mold with the nanocomposite dental restorative material, curing with visible light followed by shaping and polishing, then removing the shaped and polished material and adhering it to the tooth cavity.

  • Publication number: 20040162364
Abstract: The present invention relates to a light curable epoxy nano composite for dental restorative material with a low polymerization shrinkage used for restorative and esthetic dentistry, comprising a mixture of light curable epoxy resin, instead of the conventional acrylic material, with inorganic oxide nano particles. The light curable epoxy resin consists of epoxy resin monomers, photoinitiator and photosensitizer. The surface of inorganic oxide nano particles can be further modified organically to improve the dispersion and stability of inorganic oxide particles in epoxy matrix or to increase the bonding force between particles and matrix. The present material uses epoxy resin as primary material and has therefore a polymerization shrinkage 50% lower than that of conventional acrylic materials. It thus represents a low shrinkage dental restorative material.
