  • Publication number: 20060141431
Abstract: A health game apparatus produces, as a numerical value, a quantized biological index associated with a biological function or state from an electrical signal measured by a sensor detecting a biological signal, and considers the produced biological index to progress a game. The health game apparatus can conveniently perform a data input as data is directly inputted from the sensor and allow health management to be interestingly and continuously achieved through a game element coupled to the health management. The health game apparatus allows a host computer to manage the produced biological index and to manage game progress according to data inputted from a plurality of health game apparatuses. Thus, the health game apparatus enables persons having the same health problem to naturally form a community and enables health management to be interestingly performed in addition to an interest in the game.

  • Publication number: 20040213445
Abstract: An object separating method separates a target object from an ultrasound image. Specifically, first of all, a set of two dimensional (2D) ultrasound images are combined to provide volume data. Then, a rotational axis to rotate the volume data and two points as reference points are set, wherein the two points are points where the rotational axis and the target object intersect. Thereafter, the volume data is rotated by a predetermined angle around the rotational axis to generate a 2D ultrasound image for each rotated angle, wherein the rotating process is repeatedly performed until the volume data is rotated by a preset angle. A contour of each 2D ultrasound image is extracted and vertices on the contour are set to thereby provide contours with vertices. The vertices of each of the contours are wired and processed to provide a 3D image of the target object.

  • Patent number: 6482159
Abstract: For that method to examine an object by using ultrasound waves a spatial region of the object is scanned by a 3D probe. From the reflected echo signals just signals are processed which fulfil certain selectable criteria and taken to display it according to their position on at least one display device. For the representation of one or more objects with one or more interesting layers the geometrical selection criterion is a shell which approximates a surface of the object or of a layer and which can have a certain thickness, and only signals which are selected by this shell will be processed and displayed. This results in a undisturbed representation of the object and allows better view to the characteristic of the surface regarding structure or perfusion.

  • Patent number: 6245018
Abstract: An ultrasonic color Doppler imaging system capable of discriminating an artery and a vein discriminates types of blood vessels such as the artery and the vein, and discriminatively displays the discriminated result on a display. The blood vessel types of the artery and the vein are determined using blood stream information according to a temporal change of a blood stream velocity pattern, and a different color is displayed according to the determined blood vessel type. Also, the brighter or darker color is displayed according to the blood stream velocity flowing in the blood vessel, to thereby provide accurate blood stream information.
