    Abstract: A secondary battery includes an electrode assembly, in which electrodes and separators are alternately stacked, and a battery case, in which an accommodation part accommodating the electrode assembly is formed. A sealing part is formed along an outer circumferential surface of the battery case. The secondary battery also includes a connection pipe having one side connected to the accommodation part of the battery case and the other side connected to the outside of the battery case and passing through the battery case, and an aroma valve connected to the other side of the connection pipe 140. The aroma valve is disposed outside the battery case so as to be opened to discharge an internal gas when an internal pressure of the battery case is greater than or equal to a predetermined pressure.

The secondary battery also includes a valve fixed to the sealing portion. The valve includes a body forming a passage having opened one end facing the inside of the pouch and provided with a chamber connected to the passage, wherein a discharge hole communicating with the outside is formed in the chamber. The valve also includes a gate seated on a hook protrusion forming a boundary between the passage and the chamber to open or close the passage. The valve also includes a spring mounted to apply elastic force in a direction in which the gate is closed.

    Abstract: A secondary battery is provided with a pouch, in which a sealing portion formed on an edge of the pouch is sealed when an electrode assembly and an electrolyte are enclosed. The secondary battery includes a valve which is mounted on a sealing portion so that one end the valve is disposed inside the pouch, and the other end of the valve is disposed outside the pouch and discharges a gas generated inside the pouch to the outside. The valve comprises an inner tube filled with an adhesive and made of a material that is deformed when swelling occurs. When the swelling occurs to increase in pressure inside the pouch, a gap is generated in a portion that is filled with the adhesive, and the gas within the pouch is discharged to the outside though the gap.
