  • Patent number: 12148438
Abstract: An encoding apparatus and a decoding apparatus in a transform between a Modified Discrete Cosine Transform (MDCT)-based coder and a different coder are provided. The encoding apparatus may encode additional information to restore an input signal encoded according to the MDCT-based coding scheme, when switching occurs between the MDCT-based coder and the different coder. Accordingly, an unnecessary bitstream may be prevented from being generated, and minimum additional information may be encoded.

  • Publication number: 20240339725
Abstract: A separator for lithium-ion secondary batteries is characterized in that DPVDF is dip-coated on the separator and crosslinked. A material of the separator is selected from polyethylene (PE), polypropylene (PP), cellulose acetate (CA), polyvinylidene fluoride (PVDF), polyethersulfone (PES), or polyethylene terephthalate (PET). A method for manufacturing the separator includes: synthesizing polyvinylidene fluoride (DPVDF) including a double bond by dehydrochlorinating poly(vinylidene fluoride-co-chlorotrifluoroethylene [P(VDF-CTFE)]; coating a separator by dipping in a dipping solution formed by dissolving the DPVDF in an organic solvent; and crosslinking the DPVDF coated on the separator by performing a radical reaction by heat treatment.

  • Publication number: 20240323449
Abstract: An image decoding is performed by steps including: determining whether or not to perform filtering on a boundary of a current block; determining a filtering strength on the boundary of the current block, and a number of samples used in filtering; and performing filtering on the boundary of the current block on the basis of the filtering strength and the number of samples used in filtering, where the number of samples used in filtering is determined on the basis of a size of the current block.

  • Patent number: 8484209
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for recommending other users who have similar preference with a user. The method includes the steps of: acquiring information on objects selected by a user and other users; acquiring information on topics; determining to which topic the user and the other users respectively correspond; evaluating a degree of user similarity by each other user, the degree of user similarity being relevant to sum of probabilities of the specific object appearing in the state of a topic while k-th other user and the user have the topic as a probability of the k-th other user and the user having selected the specific object, by referring to correspondence relationships; and recommending specific other users who have a high degree of user similarity, wherein the degree of user similarity is evaluated by multiplying the sum by a probability of the specific object appearing independently.

  • Patent number: 8320695
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for deblurring a barcode image. The method includes the steps of: acquiring the terminal's n OTFs calculated by varying focal lengths for a subject; if a barcode image is inputted through the mobile terminal, fixing a specific value among NSRs as a value to be applied to an error metric of Wiener filtering, applying n PSFs calculated from the n OTFs to the error metric by a binary search algorithm and determining whether the result of the application to the error metric is not exceeding the pre-set threshold or not; and selecting a PSF value and an NSR value as values of Wiener filtering if the result of the application to the error metric is not exceeding the pre-set threshold and then performing the Wiener filtering to the inputted barcode image by using the selected PSF value and the selected NSR value.

  • Publication number: 20120203759
Abstract: The present invention relates to a method for writing a newly recognized image. The method includes the steps of: (a) comparing pre-stored image in the image database with a queried image; (b) storing the queried image onto a database for unrecognized images if there is no image similar to the queried image; (c) grouping the images in the database for unrecognized images based on degrees of similarity thereamong; and (d) comparing, if a specific image and its tag information are inputted, the specific image with some images included in a specific set of images among the organized sets of the images, determining whether there is any image in the specific set of images which has a degree of similarity exceeding the pre-set value and allowing images determined to have degrees of similarity exceeding the pre-set value with the tag information to be automatically written onto the image database.

  • Patent number: 7099494
Abstract: The present invention relates to the motion reconstruction method from inter-frame feature correspondences of a singular video stream using a motion library. The motion library is constructed through a motion capture system which is becoming more actively used or skilled animators. The present invention comprises the detailed information on the whole processes from images to motions. These processes are very simple to implement and straight forward. The total movement of a motion can be effectively inferenced and this technology can directly used for various fields in which human motions are produced from the images.
