  • Publication number: 20070104427
Abstract: A light transceiver module is designed for electronic devices. It forms an electric connection with the electric connector of the electronic device. The light transceiver module contains a base, a light-emitting device for providing optical signals, a light-receiving device for receiving optical signals, and a main circuit board. The base supports the light-emitting device, the light-receiving device, and the main circuit board. The main circuit board has a pluggable electric connector for connections with the electric connector of the electronic device. The light transceiver module can be used to simplify and optimize the devices using it.

  • Publication number: 20070069769
Abstract: A transmission circuit includes a first-stage circuit, a second-stage circuit, a negative active feedback circuit and a current buffer. The first-stage circuit includes at least an active MOS device for receiving an input voltage and issuing a first voltage signal. The active MOS device has an inductive feature during operation in a high frequency mode to compensate the first voltage signal. In response to the first voltage signal, the second-stage circuit outputs a first output voltage. The negative active feedback circuit may enhance the bandwidth of the first output voltage. The current buffer may enhance the gain value of the first output voltage. A second voltage signal is issued from the first-stage circuit and compensated by the first output voltage transmitted from the current buffer to enhance the bandwidth and the gain value thereof. In response to the compensated second voltage signal, the second-stage circuit outputs a second output voltage.

  • Publication number: 20070050183
Abstract: A portable navigation device is provided that includes integrated language dictionary/translation features. The navigation device includes a user interface configured to enable an operator to enter navigation instructions as well as language dictionary/translation instructions. A receiver is provided that is configured to receive signals from global positioning system (GPS) satellites. Memory in the device stores language dictionary/translation information. A processor module receives the navigation instruction and language translation instruction, obtains obtaining navigation information based on the navigation instruction, obtains language translation information from the memory based on the language translation instruction entered by the operator. An output is provided for presenting the navigation information and the language translation information to the operator (e.g. audibly and/or visually).

  • Publication number: 20050090146
Abstract: An optical transmission module comprising at least a photoelectric element, a printed circuit board and a flexible printed circuit board is provided. The flexible printed circuit board electrically connects the photoelectrical elements and the printed circuit board. At least a ground plane is formed on the flexible printed circuit board to reduce crosstalk and electromagnetic interference. Transmission lines and impedance formed on the flexible printed circuit board solve the problems of signal distortion and impedance mismatch. The flexible printed circuit board also serves as a flexible interface to solve prior problems of connection stress between the photoelectric element and the printed circuit board.

  • Publication number: 20050065718
Abstract: Systems, devices and methods are provided for more efficient use of RAM and other resources in connection with a route calculation algorithm which quickly obtains a best or reasonable best path between two locations. The navigational aid device includes forced layer switching capabilities. The navigational aid device includes a processor and a memory adapted to communicate with the processor. The memory has cartographic data including any number of locations and data indicative of thoroughfares of a plurality of types connecting certain ones of the locations. The plurality of thoroughfares are organized in a hierarchy of detail levels. The processor operates on a route calculation algorithm to find a path between any two of the number of locations and the route calculation algorithm dynamically forces switching between different levels in the hierarchy of detail levels based on a set of criteria.
