  • Patent number: 10323452
Abstract: Technologies are generally described for activation of actuators based on sensed user characteristics, such as orientation. In some examples, an access control system may be configured to activate an actuator upon determining that an activation device is both in proximity to and has a similar orientation to the actuator. The access control system may be configured to determine orientation similarity by determining an orientation associated with the activation device, determining an orientation associated with the actuator, and comparing a difference between the two orientations to an activation threshold. The actuator may be associated with an entryway such as a building doorway, a room doorway, or a vehicle door, or may be associated with a container such as a safe or vehicle trunk.

  • Patent number: 10142973
Abstract: A method is provided for transmitting an uplink (UL) control signal in a carrier aggregation (CA) system including a plurality of UL component carriers (CCs). A user equipment (UE) determines whether a simultaneous transmission of a physical UL control channel (PUCCH) and a physical UL shared channel (PUSCH) is configured. If the simultaneous transmission of the PUCCH and the PUSCH is not configured, the UE determines whether the PUSCH is scheduled in a primary CC (PCC) or in any secondary CCs (SCCs) of the CA system. If the PUSCH is not scheduled in the PCC, but is scheduled in the any SCCs, the UE selects one SCC from the any SCCs in which the PUSCH is scheduled according to a priority which is set by higher layer signaling. The UE piggybacks and transmits a UL control information (UCI) of the PCC on the PUSCH of the selected SCC.

  • Patent number: 10135654
Abstract: A method for transmitting a synchronization signal by a transmitting side device to a receiving side device in a wireless access system. The method includes generating a concatenated code sequence in a frequency domain by concatenating a first code sequence having a first index (M1) and a second code sequence having a second index (M2). Each of the first code sequence and the second code sequence is obtained by cyclic shifting a code sequence. The concatenated code sequence is mapped to subcarriers for transmitting the synchronization signal via a secondary synchronization channel (S-SCH). The method further includes transforming the concatenated code sequence into a time domain signal; and transmitting the time domain signal to the receiving side device as the synchronization signal. The concatenated code sequence indicates a cell group identity (ID).
