  • Publication number: 20250088887
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A user equipment (UE) may receive a channel state information (CSI) report setting that includes first and second CSI resource settings. In some examples, the first CSI resource setting and the second CSI resource setting may be associated with a set of channel measurement resources of a first serving cell and a set of beam prediction resources of a second serving cell, respectively. The UE may measure channel characteristics of the first serving cell based on a channel measurement resource of the set associated with the first CSI resource setting. Based on the measured first channel characteristics, the UE may predict channel characteristics of the second serving cell for one or more beam prediction resources of the set. As such, the UE may transmit a CSI report including an indication of the predicted channel characteristics according to the CSI report setting.

  • Publication number: 20240322991
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. A wireless communications device (e.g., a user equipment (UE) and/or a network entity) operating in a full-duplex operation mode may decode received signaling based on cancelling interference from transmitted signaling with a NLIC model with inter-component carrier (CC) terms. The wireless communications device may transmit and receive signaling using overlapping time resources in the full-duplex operation mode, which may cause self-interference (SI) due to the transmitted signaling interfering with the received signaling. Thus, the wireless communication device may implement a NLIC model to reduce, or remove, the SI on a per-CC basis, while accounting for inter-CC terms. That is, the NLIC model may include inter-CC terms, or kernels, that correspond to respective CCs of the transmitted signal.

  • Publication number: 20240224052
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a wireless device may select one or more parameters for a soft guard band in a subband full duplex slot that are different than one or more parameters for a hard guard band. The wireless device may transmit or receive a communication using the soft guard band and the hard guard band, wherein the soft guard band is between a center band and the hard guard band. Numerous other aspects are described.

  • Publication number: 20240204976
Abstract: A UE may identify one or more fractional bands in relation to a bandwidth associated with FD communication. Each fractional band in the one or more fractional bands may be a fraction of the bandwidth. The UE may sample at least one signal at the one or more fractional bands. The UE may estimate one or more SIC coefficients based on the at least one signal. The UE may perform SIC for the bandwidth associated with the FD communication based on the estimated one or more SIC coefficients. In one configuration, the at least one signal may be sampled with a sampling rate less than a threshold. In one configuration, the at least one signal may be sampled using an auxiliary hardware path including an auxiliary ADC. In one configuration, the sampling the at least one signal may be associated with decimation or rotation.

  • Publication number: 20240056843
Abstract: Methods, systems, and devices for wireless communications are described. The described techniques generally provide for a wireless device (e.g., a user equipment (UE), a network entity) to use a set of resources for mitigating self-interference when communications in a full-duplex mode. For example, a UE may request a set of resources for performing a self-interference mitigation procedure. The UE may receive a configuration of the requested set of resources and transmit one or more self-interference measurement signals via the set of resources (e.g., in the absence of transmissions by other devices). In some examples, a network entity may transmit an indication of periodic resources, semi-persistent resources, or both, for a self-interference mitigation procedure performed by the network entity. In response, one or more UEs may cancel uplink transmissions that overlap with the indicated resources, such that the self-interference mitigation procedure is performed in the absence of uplink signals.

  • Publication number: 20240057189
Abstract: Certain aspects of the present disclosure provide techniques for improving a beam failure recovery procedure when control channel monitoring adaptions are enabled. An example method includes receiving, from a network entity, configuration information comprising at least one of a physical downlink control channel (PDCCH) monitoring skipping configuration or a search space (SS) set group (SSSG) switching configuration, detecting a beam failure of a beam used for communicating with the network entity, and in response to the detected beam failure, taking one or more actions to monitor a beam failure recovery (BFR) SS set for a BFR response from the network entity based, in part, on the configuration information.

  • Publication number: 20230336321
Abstract: Various aspects of the present disclosure generally relate to wireless communication. In some aspects, a network node may transmit a first signal in accordance with a full duplex configuration. The network node may receive a second signal comprising a communication and self-interference associated with the first signal, wherein receiving the second signal comprises cancelling the self-interference based at least in part on a nonlinear interference cancellation (NLIC) procedure associated with a subset of kernels of a set of nonlinear candidate kernels corresponding to a nonlinear self-interference model. Numerous other aspects are described.
