  • Patent number: 9987929
Abstract: An air compressor control method for a fuel cell vehicle is provided. The method includes sensing variation information of a rotation speed of an air compressor motor and sensing a state of charge (SOC) of a high voltage battery by the fuel cell controller when the rotation speed of the air compressor motor is reduced. An allowable current from regenerative braking of an air compressor is derived using current consumption of an electric or electronic sub-assembly for a fuel cell vehicle in response to determining that the SOC exceeds a predetermined level of the SOC. The air compressor motor is then operated based on the allowable current from regenerative braking by an air compressor controller.

  • Publication number: 20180118032
Abstract: A motor drive control method is provided for controlling a speed of a motor such that a measured speed value of the motor follows a speed command value. The motor drive control method includes an on/off driving operation of driving a torque of the motor based on the speed command value in such a way that the torque of the motor is repeatedly turned on/off on preset cycle and duty. The motor drive control method and system can markedly enhance efficiency of a motor by reducing switching loss and current ripple loss of an inverter in a low-speed driving period of a high-speed motor.

  • Patent number: 9927495
Abstract: An offset compensation method and system of a hall sensor in a motor are provided. The system and method prevent a detection error regarding the position of the rotor of the motor and more accurately measure the speed and location of a rotor by storing the position of when output values of three hall sensors while slowly rotating the rotor by adding control mode for applying a low speed rotating magnetic field to a controller, extracting and storing offsets between each hall sensor and the U-phase position of a stator winding, and then excluding the influence of the offset of a rotor magnet in normal operation mode.

  • Publication number: 20180058952
Abstract: A failure diagnosis method of a temperature sensor of a switch device is provided. The method includes setting a sampling period using a temperature detected by the temperature sensor of the switch device and a temperature of cooling water for cooling the switch device. A temperature sensing value detected by the temperature sensor is then compared with a temperature reference value stored in a memory in the sampling period to determine whether failure occurs in the temperature sensor.

  • Patent number: 9837945
Abstract: A motor control method and system are provided. The motor control method includes recognizing, by a controller, a driving signal for a motor and when the controller recognizes the driving signal, the controller determine a failure of multiple Hall sensors disposed within the motor, based on signals detected by the multiple Hall sensors. Additionally, when the Hall sensors in the motor are determined to be faulty, the controller identifies a faulty Hall sensor from among the multiple Hall sensors by analyzing respective frequencies of the signals detected by the multiple Hall sensors.

  • Publication number: 20170063263
Abstract: A method for controlling a motor is provided. The motor control method includes deriving a motor rotational speed estimate using a speed estimator model and deriving a motor hall sensor frequency estimate based on the derived rotational speed estimate. Additionally, a filter for noise detection is set based on the derived hall sensor frequency estimate and the derived rotational speed estimate. A motor hall sensor frequency derived from the hall sensor is then applied to a predetermined filter to detect a hall sensor noise frequency.
