  • Publication number: 20110293156
Abstract: A computer for aiding determination of Obstructive Sleep Apnea (OSA) includes a storage device storing with a medical image and a central processing unit (CPU). The CPU executes a method for aiding determination of OSA. The method for aiding determination of OSA includes the following steps. The medical image is obtained. An upper airway model is established. A narrowest cross-section and a nasopharyngeal boundary cross-section are defined in the airway model. A cross-sectional area of the narrowest cross-section and a cross-sectional area of the nasopharyngeal boundary cross-section are calculated. A stenosis rate is calculated according to the cross-sectional area of the narrowest cross-section and the cross-sectional area of the nasopharyngeal boundary cross-section. The stenosis rate is provided. In addition, in the method for aiding determination of OSA, a respiratory flow field simulation may be further performed to obtain and provide a flow field pressure distribution of the upper airway model.

  • Publication number: 20110221709
Abstract: This invention is directed to an accessory system including an outer touch component and inner locking component that transmits user inputs an electronic device through a conductive material. An outer touch component has a tip that stays between electronic device and a barrier material such as glove or apparel. Its root extends through the barrier material and connects the inner locking component. The locking component holds the root part of the touch component, through various mechanisms such as mechanically locked by screw thread, trap, etc or chemically bonding using glues or adhesives. Both outer touch component and inner locking component are made of conductive material, such as metal or conductive polymer. The touch tip part may be covered with conductive material, such as conductive fabric or thread, or coated with conductive plastic/polymer/rubber/gel. The distance between the outer touch component and inner locking component can be adjusted to fit various substrate material and thickness.

  • Publication number: 20110174529
Abstract: A method of fabricating a multi-trace via substrate is disclosed. A substrate at least having a first surface and a hole is provided, wherein the hole has a hole wall. A first conductive layer is formed on the entire surface of the substrate and the hole wall. A photoresist layer applied over the entire surface of the first conductive layer is selectively patterned to define a plurality of laterally separated regions on the first conductive layer. A patterned photoresist layer is used as a mask and a second conductive layer substantially thicker than the first conductive layer is electroplated on the laterally separated regions. The patterned photoresist layer is removed. The portion of the first conductive layer not covered by the second conductive layer is substantially removed to form a plurality of laterally separated traces extended on the first surface and through the hole.

  • Publication number: 20110170809
Abstract: An automatic lubrication structure of slide mechanism. The automatic lubrication structure includes a guide section, a slide section slidably disposed on the guide section, and a lubricating section fixedly disposed on the guide section. The lubricating section has an oil reservoir with an internal cavity for containing therein a lubricant or the like. The lubricating section further has a communication passage and multiple oil-filling holes formed on lateral sides of the guide section in contact with the slide section. The cavity communicates with the oil-filling holes via the communication passage. The slide section is movable to push a push member for making the lubricant or the like contained in the cavity spill out of the oil-filling holes so as to provide lubrication effect for contact faces between the guide section and the slide section.

  • Publication number: 20100215723
Abstract: A wound dressing (500) includes a flexible layer of material (501) that is treated with an antimicrobial agent (604), such as PHMB. The antimicrobial agent (604) ionically bonds to cellulose fibers (502) of the flexible layer of material (501) through a bonding agent (601). The bonding agent (601) increases the number of available carboxylate bonding groups beyond a characteristic carboxylate bonding group density normally associated with untreated cellulose fiber such that more antimicrobial agent (604) can be bonded to the flexible layer of material (501). An optional antifungal agent (606) can also be applied to the flexible layer of material (501).

  • Patent number: 7513336
Abstract: A lubricating device for a linear guideway, used at either side of the slide block of a linear guideway, comprises: a housing, oil-containing member, magnets and metallic magnetic members. Using a magnetic force to push the oil-containing member against the rail, the magnetic force will not fatigue but will increase with the reduction in distance between the magnets and the metallic magnetic members, therefore, the oil-containing member can be kept in a good contact with the rolling passage of the rail, and the lubricating oil can be continuously transmitted from the oil-containing member to the surface of the rail, thus lubricating the linear guideway automatically without disassembling it.
