The backlight unit includes: a light guide plate under the display panel and guiding the light; a light source generating the light and disposed at a side of the light guide plate; a coupling member coupling the display panel to the light guide plate, and disposed in the non-display area and between the display panel and the light guide plate; and a reflection member.
