  • Publication number: 20080170202
Abstract: A safety lens has a protection panel and a dioptric component. The protection panel is transparent, flat and non-dioptric. The dioptric component is formed on the protection panel to provide a dioptric effect for a myopic or presbyopic wearer to allow the wearer to see through the dioptric component clearly. Therefore, the myopic or presbyopic wearer can see a workpiece through the dioptric component to perform detailed operations or through the protection panel to relax eyes when performing normal operations.

  • Publication number: 20030135911
Abstract: A welder helmet includes a shield holder. A head set is disposed rearwardly of and is pivoted to left and right ends of the shield holder. A fixed face shield extends downwardly from the shield holder. A movable face shield is disposed frontwardly of the fixed face shield. A coupler unit couples the movable face shield on the shield holder to permit turning of the movable face shield away from the fixed face shield when the welder wishes to check a welded spot.

  • Publication number: 20020085171
Abstract: An eyeglass frame includes a lens member with a pair of lateral wing portions, each of which has a pivot hole and a resilient piece formed between the pivot hole and a rear edge section of the wing portion. The resilient piece has an engaging protrusion. Each of a pair of connectors is formed with a horizontal pivot shaft which extends rotatably through the pivot hole in a respective wing portion. Each connector has a rear end portion formed with a clamping space for clamping the rear edge section of the respective wing portion, and is formed with a series of engaging grooves which are arranged in a direction from an upper end to a lower end of the connector. The engaging protrusion on the resilient piece engages resiliently and removably a selected one of the engaging grooves in a corresponding connector so as to permit adjustment of tilt of the connector relative to the respective wing portion.

  • Patent number: 6068376
Abstract: An eyeglasses assembly includes a pair of glasses formed as a one-piece molded body, a pair of pivot parts, and a pair of temples. The glasses have inner end portions connected to each other, opposite outer end portions which are curved rearwardly, and a top edge extending between the outer end portions. The pivot parts are disposed on the outer end portions. Each of the pivot parts has parallel upper and lower plate members projecting transversely from the outer end portions. Each of the plate members has a front end located below the top edge, and a rear end located at a level below the front end. Each of the pivot parts further has a pivot pin passing through perpendicularly and mounted on the upper and lower plate members.

  • Patent number: 6021520
Abstract: A welder's eyeshield includes a helmet having a face portion with a lens window provided thereon, a liquid crystal assembly mounted on the lens window, an optical filter juxtaposed with the liquid crystal assembly on the lens window, the optical filter being made of a plastic material compounded with a dye material for attenuating infrared and ultraviolet light, and a control circuit electrically connected to the liquid crystal assembly for controlling light transmissivity of the liquid crystal assembly.

  • Patent number: 5970514
Abstract: A face mask includes an arcuate transparent sheet which extends about a central axis, and which has an upper engaging edge portion extending therealong. The upper engaging edge portion has a central positioning hole formed in a middle thereof to define a reference line with the central axis, two elongated first grooves formed respectively at two side ends of the upper engaging edge portion to define a first chord therebetween perpendicular to the reference line, and two elongated second grooves respectively inboard to the first grooves. The second grooves define a second chord therebetween perpendicular to the reference line. Each of the first and second grooves extends along the upper engaging edge portion. Each second groove is longer than each first groove. As such, the face mask can be assembled on different kinds of helmets and the like.

  • Patent number: 5966738
Abstract: A snap clamp includes a planar part which has a slit area and a resilient flap formed in the slit area. The resilient flap has a fixed end integrally connected to the planar part, a free end opposite to the fixed end, and a resilient protrusion formed on the free end to project normally outward from one side of the planar part. A clamp has two clamping plates to sandwich the planar part therebetween. The clamping plates have opposing inner faces in sliding contact with the planar part. One clamping plate has an engaging slot for engaging the resilient protrusion. As such, the resilient flap is bendable inward to retract inward the resilient protrusion upon insertion in the clamping plates, and is engageable with one of the clamping plate via interengagement of the resilient protrusion and the engaging slot.

  • Patent number: 5638147
Abstract: An eyeglass frame assembly includes a lens unit having two rearwardly extending side portions, each of which has a pivot hole with a guide portion, a positioning portion, and a constricted portion, a pair of bows, two connectors and two first pivot members for connecting the bows to the side portions. Each connector has a rear end pivoted to each bow about a vertical axis, and a front end with a slot to be aligned with the pivot hole. Each first pivot member horizontally passes through the aligned slot and the pivot hole and has a head portion, a first neck portion received in the slot, a second neck portion received in the pivot hole, and a stop member projecting outwardly of the pivot hole. A slit extends axially from the stop member to the first neck portion. The first pivot member is resilient transversely of the axis of the first pivot member. The stop member is pressed to thread through the guide portion.
