Abstract: A computer system detects an occurrence of an event. In response to detecting the occurrence of the event, the computer system outputs a respective audio output that corresponds to the event. In accordance with a determination that a first set of criteria is met and that an ambient sound level is at a first detected level, the computer system outputs a first audio output at a first output level. In accordance with a determination that the first set of criteria is met and that the ambient sound level is at a second detected level that is different from the first detected level, the computer system outputs the first audio output at a second output level that is different from the first output level.
