Abstract: This invention discloses an orodispersible thin film for providing a substrate for printing of at least one Active ingredient on its surface that remains free from cavities after printing, method making the film, the substrate for the printing and a hydrophobic edible ink comprising at least one Active Ingredient for the printing. The Invention includes all films having orodispersibility property; including rectal, vaginal, ocular film and any other film meant for oral or transmucosal delivery. One or more of ingredient/s that make the substrate of this invention act as adsorbents and impart/s required roughness to the surface of the substrate. The ink does not crystallize on drying and remains stable at least for six months at 40° C. and 75% RH; and is printable using a Continuous Inkjet printer.

Abstract: This invention comprises a method of transmucosal delivery of process of Vitamin B12 without the need of intrinsic factor comprising administering a solid composition comprising a Vitamin B12 and at least one bifunctional macromolecule with hydrophilic exterior and with hydrophobic pockets capable of pocketing Vitamin B12 material, illustrated by cyclodextrin, at least one permeation enhancer, illustrated by Isopropyl Myristate and at least one agent that is mucoadhessive as well as penetration enhancer, illustrated by chitosan. The solid composition of Vitamin B12 of claim 2 may comprise a lozenge, a candy, a wafer, a tablet, a patch, a film, a spray, a lip balm, or gum.
