  • Patent number: 4462367
Abstract: In a fuel controller which comprises; a venturi portion formed in an air-intake path adapted to feed air to an internal combustion engine; a throttle valve installed on the downstream side of the venturi portion; an auxiliary throttle valve and a fuel injection portion provided between the throttle valve and the venturi portion; a bypass air path opened at the venturi portion and at the upstream side thereof; a hot-wire type air flow sensor provided in the bypass air path for detecting an amount of air passing therethrough; and a proportional electromagnetic device which controls the amount of air passing through the bypass air path at a constant level with an air needle valve provided therein and which controls an amount of fuel passing through a fuel path corresponding to an amount of air passing through the air-intake path with a fuel needle valve provided in the fuel path communicating with the fuel injection portion, the auxiliary throttle valve and the throttle valve are operated interlockedly through a

  • Patent number: 4448172
Abstract: A fuel injection apparatus in accordance with the invention has a hot wire type sensor disposed in a bypass air passage and adapted to sense the flow rate of air in the bypass air passage. In order to absorb the pulsation of air flowing in the bypass air passage, the bypass air passage opens at its one end to the air cleaner of an intake system disposed in a portion upstream from the hot wire sensor. An orifice is disposed in a portion of the bypass air passage downstream from the hot wire sensor.

  • Patent number: 4442818
Abstract: A heat-type flow sensor is provided on the upstream side of a Venturi portion formed in an air-intake path and in an air bypass communicating with the Venturi portion. An electromagnetic device is provided to control the amount of air flowing in the air bypass so that the output of the heat-type flow sensor converges to a set level. This electromagnetic device drives a fuel-scaling valve to scale fuel in accordance with the change of the amount of air supplied to the engine, and this scaled fuel is continuously injected into the air-intake path.

  • Patent number: 4225535
Abstract: In an acceleration pump of a carburetor for an internal combustion engine including a cylinder and a piston reciprocatorily inserted in the cylinder, the piston is formed in its upper portion with a transverse bore for a stopper member to extend therethrough to be urged by a heat sensitive element to move in a direction at right angles to the direction of reciprocatory movement of the piston, so that additional fuel for acceleration can be supplied to the engine in a quantity which is accurately corrected to accommodate itself to changes in ambient temperature, by means of the heat sensitive element. The transverse bore is formed at its top wall and bottom wall with projections, and the stopper member is formed at its upper surface and lower surface with depressed portions, so as to enable the lengths of the downward and upward strokes of the piston to be controlled in accordance with changes in ambient temperature.

  • Patent number: 4157365
Abstract: An acceleration pump of a carburetor is constituted by a cylinder and a piston slidably received by the cylinder, so that the delivery rate of the acceleration fuel may be changed in accordance with the change of stroke of the piston within the cylinder. The stroke of the piston is limited by a stopper member adapted to be directly actuated by an incompressible temperature detecting element. The stopper member is so arranged as to be moved in the direction perpendicular to the stroking direction of the piston, so as to provide a fine adjustment of the stroke of the piston and, accordingly, an accurate control of the delivery of acceleration fuel in relation with the change of the engine temperature.
