  • Patent number: 6343407
Abstract: A hose clip for clamping a hose includes a clamping body formed by bending a band-shaped spring plate into a circular form. A frame-shaped first grip is formed at one end of the body so as to protrude radially outward, and a second grip is formed at the other end of the body so as to protrude radially outward and so as to oppose the first grip when moved through an inside of the first grip. A locking protrusion protrudes from the first grip toward the second grip, and a locking opening is formed in the second grip so as to be engaged with the protrusion. When the protrusion engages the locking opening, the first and second grips are held close to each other such that the body is held in a spread state. The protrusion disengages from the locking opening when the first and second grips are displaced radially relative to each other.

  • Patent number: 6192555
Abstract: A hose clip of the self-holding type includes a clamping ring made by circularly bending a band-shaped leaf spring. A first knob is formed by cutting off a central portion of the clamping ring at a side of its first end in a predetermined range of its length to obtain a groove-like opening and by raising the end of the clamping ring radially. The first knob includes a generally arch-shaped portion. A second knob includes a narrow portion at a side of the second end of the clamping ring, and os formed by fitting the narrow portion into the opening and passing under the arch-shaped portion of the first knob and by raising the second end of the clamping ring radially with respect to the clamping ring so that the second knob confronts the first knob. An abutment face is formed on a surface of the arch-shaped portion of the first knob opposed to a surface of the arch-shaped portion confronting the second knob.

  • Patent number: 5542155
Abstract: A holderless hose clip, primarily for use in preventing piping hoses from falling off of connecting pipes in automotive vehicles, includes a clip body formed of a leaf spring having the shape of an annular band and which clamps the hose when released from a spread-diameter state to assume a free state. A pair of grip strips are formed by bending the ends of the clip body, respectively. An engagement claw and an engagement recess are formed on the respective grip strips to secure the grip strips to each other when the grip strips are gripped, so that the clip body is held in the spread-diameter state. The engagement claw has a guide face for guiding the grip strips axially of the clip body when the grip strips are gripped whereupon the engagement claw is received in the recess.
