Patent number: 11977302Abstract: A cholesteric liquid crystal display device and a driving method for improving non-uniform image quality of the cholesteric liquid crystal display device. The cholesteric liquid crystal display device includes a cholesteric liquid crystal display panel and a liquid crystal drive unit. The cholesteric liquid crystal display panel is composed of multiple row circuit structures and multiple column circuit structures. The liquid crystal driving unit sequentially outputs column driving voltages to a plurality of column circuit structures in a scanning manner. After scanning the multiple column circuit structures, the liquid crystal driving unit applies an unselected voltage to the multiple column circuit structures together with more than 18 times the scanning unit time course, so as to make the brightness of the overall picture more uniform.Type: GrantFiled: December 8, 2022Date of Patent: May 7, 2024Assignee: IRIS OPTRONICS CO., LTD.Inventors: Ming-Liang Tsai, Wu-Chang Yang, Chi-Chang Liao

Publication number: 20240113113Abstract: Methods of cutting gate structures, and structures formed, are described. In an embodiment, a structure includes first and second gate structures over an active area, and a gate cut-fill structure. The first and second gate structures extend parallel. The active area includes a source/drain region disposed laterally between the first and second gate structures. The gate cut-fill structure has first and second primary portions and an intermediate portion. The first and second primary portions abut the first and second gate structures, respectively. The intermediate portion extends laterally between the first and second primary portions. First and second widths of the first and second primary portions along longitudinal midlines of the first and second gate structures, respectively, are each greater than a third width of the intermediate portion midway between the first and second gate structures and parallel to the longitudinal midline of the first gate structure.Type: ApplicationFiled: December 1, 2023Publication date: April 4, 2024Inventors: Chih-Chang Hung, Chia-Jen Chen, Ming-Ching Chang, Shu-Yuan Ku, Yi-Hsuan Hsiao, I-Wei Yang

Publication number: 20240069305Abstract: An imaging lens assembly module includes an imaging lens element set, a lens carrier and a light blocking structure. The imaging lens element set has an optical axis. At least one lens element of the lens elements is disposed in the lens carrier. The light blocking structure includes a light blocking opening. The optical axis passes through the light blocking opening, and the light blocking opening includes at least two arc portions and a shrinking portion. Each of the arc portions has a first curvature radius for defining a maximum diameter of the light blocking opening. The shrinking portion is connected to the arc portions for forming the light blocking opening into a non-circular shape. The shrinking portion includes at least one protruding arc which extends and shrinks gradually from the shrinking portion to the optical axis, and the protruding arc has a second curvature radius.Type: ApplicationFiled: November 8, 2023Publication date: February 29, 2024Inventors: Lin-An CHANG, Ming-Ta CHOU, Shu-Yun YANG, Cheng-Feng LIN

Patent number: 10775413Abstract: A method of increasing uniformity in light from a light source at a plurality of targets of the light includes locating a plurality of movable aperture elements between the light source and the targets. Each aperture element defines an aperture through which the light passes from the light source to an associated one of the plurality of targets associated with the aperture element along a longitudinal axis of the aperture element. The method also includes moving at least one of the aperture elements along its longitudinal axis to change a feature of light incident on the target associated with the aperture element.Type: GrantFiled: October 5, 2016Date of Patent: September 15, 2020Assignee: OmniVision Technologies, Inc.Inventors: Chih-Pin Jen, Ming-Chang Yang, Sheng-Kuai Yang

Patent number: 7076707Abstract: For a plurality of logic integrated circuits, initial value vectors associated with flip-flops are retrieved from each of corresponding scan chain sets. The initial value vectors of the same corresponding scan chain set are compared with each other so as to identify elements with fixed values in the initial value vectors. When the total number of the elements with fixed values reaches a predetermined percentage, the elements having fixed values are selected as a golden pattern of the corresponding scan chain set. During the testing, an initial value vector of a scan chain of a logic integrated circuit to be tested is compared with the golden pattern associated with the scan chain, so as to determine whether a faulty flip-flop exists in the scan chain of the logic integrated circuit to be tested.Type: GrantFiled: March 31, 2003Date of Patent: July 11, 2006Assignee: United Microelectronics Corp.Inventors: Juinn Lee, Chin-pin Jen, Ming-chang Yang, Hung-chieh Chen
