    Abstract: A scanning system includes a scanner and a host device. The host device is operated to select a scanning region. An object exists in the scanning region. The host device provides a predicted model corresponding to the object. The predicted model has at least one first characteristic parameter. The scanner scans the object and transmits a plurality of scanned images to the host device. The host device integrates the scanned images into a temporary image. The temporary image has at least one second characteristic parameter. The host device determines whether the second characteristic parameter matches with the first characteristic parameter. When the host device determines that the second characteristic parameter matches with the first characteristic parameter, the host device retains the temporary image. When the host device determines that the second characteristic parameter does not match with the first characteristic parameter, the host device abandons the temporary image.

    Abstract: A method for automated channel installation comprises the following steps. In step (A), a frequency scanning operation is executed to lock on to a frequency. In step (B), it is determined whether the frequency scanning operation is complete, if so, the process proceeds to step (F), otherwise, to step (C). In step (C), it is determined whether the locked frequency corresponds to a reserved channel number, if so, the process proceeds to step (D), otherwise, to step (E). In step (D) the corresponding reserved channel number is assigned to the locked frequency, and then proceeds to step (A). In step (E), the locked frequency not corresponding to the reserved channel number is stored in a caching table, and then proceeds to step (A). In step (F), an unused channel number is assigned to the frequency stored, if any, in the caching table.

    Abstract: A method for searching a frequency band to locate a channel. The method includes the steps of setting an initial frequency and a first frequency step; determining a frequency point based on the initial frequency and the first frequency step; determining whether the frequency point satisfies a first condition, which is continuously detecting a horizontal signal a predetermined number of times. When the first condition is satisfied, the frequency point is recorded as an entrance point. A second frequency step based on the entrance point determines a second frequency point, wherein the second frequency step is less than the first frequency step. It is then determined if a channel exists at the second frequency point. The entrance point is recorded as the updated initial frequency for the next search. The described steps are repeated for the entire frequency band.
