    Abstract: An assembly for a drawer-type hard disk drive comprising a cartridge in which a hard disk is mounted, and a supporting mount for receiving the cartridge. The cartridge has a power switch, a master/slave switch, a socket connector and a converting circuit card. The supporting mount is of a size such that it fits in the backup drive of a computer and it has a master/slave switch, a D-type connector, a circuit board, a power supplying slot and a jumper such that when the cartridge is inserted into the supporting mount, the socket connects to the connector. The supporting mount has an opening through which the cartridge is inserted and has guiding plates in its sidewalls which engage with guiding slots on the sides of the cartridge. The power switch has a locking latch which extends through a retaining hole on the supporting mount when the power switch is switched on, thus preventing removal of the cartridge, and which retracts when the switch is switched off, thus enabling easy removal of the cartridge.

    Abstract: An indicator cluster includes a controlling substrate and a functional displaying module. The controlling substrate includes a set of five RJ-45 or USB connectors at its rear end, a fixing tab at its rear end, an input connector for +5V power supply, a pair of retaining holes, and connecting pins at its front end. A functional displaying module includes a pair of fastening clips at respective ends of a front panel. The front panel is also provided with a plurality of indicators. A rear end of a long portion of the functional displaying module is provided with connecting pins that correspond to the connecting pins of the controlling substrate. By the configuration described above, the controlling substrate can be readily mounted on to a mounting slot of a computer. Alternatively, it can be also fixedly mounted onto the supporting cartridge for a hard disk drive utilizing the pair of retaining holes.

    Abstract: A converter-type circuit connector for linking electronic devices. Preferably, the converter-type connector comprises a D-type 50-point contact connector, a converter circuit board having an upper and lower circuit boards, two D-type 25-point contact connectors, upper and lower covers, and an iron panel, the D-type 50-point contact connector having a male configuration and both lateral sides thereof being indented with grooves for fastening the connector to an electronic device. Inside the converter-type connector, two rows of electrical conductors exit the back of the D-type 50-point contact connector. Each electrical conductor is angled at 90 degrees and connects with the converter circuit board. The 50-point contact connector defines the front of the converter-type circuit connector, the housing of which is defined by the upper and lower covers.
