Abstract: A payment system for paying money in the Internet is provided. The system includes an IC card, wherein the IC card has a circuit for transforming a signal into a USB signal and a USB interface; a USB port of a computer, wherein the USB interface of the IC card communicates with the USB port; a front-end trade platform, the IC card communicates with the front-end trade platform through the computer and the Internet; and a back-end trade platform, wherein the back-end trade platform has a program to perform a small amount of money payment process that does not perform an identification process to identify a holder of IC card.

Abstract: The present invention discloses a press key operating type optical disk duplicating system, which comprises an optical disk burner, and the optical disk burner is connected to a personal computer for playing an optical disk (such as a CD or a DVD) loaded into the optical disk burner or performing the optical disk burning (copying of files to an optical disk) or optical disk duplication for an optical disk loaded into the optical disk burner. The optical disk burner comprises at least one function key, and each function key is connected to a control circuit, such that the function key is pressed as to turn on the control circuit and the corresponding program installed in the personal computer and execute a series of operations required for burning (writing to) or duplicating an optical disk.

Abstract: The present invention is to provide an external storage device for controlling computer and method thereof. A message monitoring program is installed in the computer after the external storage device is connected to the computer. Thus, a user may operate an input member of the external storage device to cause the external storage device to generate a control instruction and send same to the computer. The message monitoring program runs a target program of the external storage device based on kinds of the control instruction. Therefore, the target program is adapted to cause the computer to perform a corresponding operation by running a selected one of its procedures.

Abstract: A computer system data restoring device and a method for restoring computer system data using the same are disclosed. The computer system data-restoring device includes a casing, a plurality of function keys and a circuit device. The circuit device has a central processing unit (CPU), a connection port, a memory, a connection interface, a controller integrated circuit and a data storage device. The circuit device is electrically connected with the function keys, and is connected to an external computer host via the connection port for controlling the function keys that further control operations of the controller integrated circuit, thereby activating corresponding software in the computer host via the CPU and the connection port to store the computer host data into the restoring device, or to restore the computer system data stored in the restoring device to the external computer host.

Abstract: A compact disk player includes a housing, an optical drive and a flash card reader. The housing has an internal chamber for accommodating the compact disk drive and the flash card reader, and a panel provided with a plurality of apertures. One of the apertures is for allowing a compact holder of the compact disk drive to pass in and out, whereas the other apertures are correspondingly provided with driving devices for reading from and writing to Memory Stick, CompactFlash, SecureDigital, MultiMedia, Smart Media, Extreme Digital, and PCMCIA cards. Using the above structure disposing the flash card reader and the optical drive in the same housing, materials required are decreased, occupied space is significantly reduced, and production cost is also lowered.

Abstract: An assembly for a drawer-type hard disk drive comprising a cartridge in which a hard disk is mounted, and a supporting mount for receiving the cartridge. The cartridge has a power switch, a master/slave switch, a socket connector and a converting circuit card. The supporting mount is of a size such that it fits in the backup drive of a computer and it has a master/slave switch, a D-type connector, a circuit board, a power supplying slot and a jumper such that when the cartridge is inserted into the supporting mount, the socket connects to the connector. The supporting mount has an opening through which the cartridge is inserted and has guiding plates in its sidewalls which engage with guiding slots on the sides of the cartridge. The power switch has a locking latch which extends through a retaining hole on the supporting mount when the power switch is switched on, thus preventing removal of the cartridge, and which retracts when the switch is switched off, thus enabling easy removal of the cartridge.

Abstract: An indicator cluster includes a controlling substrate and a functional displaying module. The controlling substrate includes a set of five RJ-45 or USB connectors at its rear end, a fixing tab at its rear end, an input connector for +5V power supply, a pair of retaining holes, and connecting pins at its front end. A functional displaying module includes a pair of fastening clips at respective ends of a front panel. The front panel is also provided with a plurality of indicators. A rear end of a long portion of the functional displaying module is provided with connecting pins that correspond to the connecting pins of the controlling substrate. By the configuration described above, the controlling substrate can be readily mounted on to a mounting slot of a computer. Alternatively, it can be also fixedly mounted onto the supporting cartridge for a hard disk drive utilizing the pair of retaining holes.

Abstract: A converter-type circuit connector for linking electronic devices. Preferably, the converter-type connector comprises a D-type 50-point contact connector, a converter circuit board having an upper and lower circuit boards, two D-type 25-point contact connectors, upper and lower covers, and an iron panel, the D-type 50-point contact connector having a male configuration and both lateral sides thereof being indented with grooves for fastening the connector to an electronic device. Inside the converter-type connector, two rows of electrical conductors exit the back of the D-type 50-point contact connector. Each electrical conductor is angled at 90 degrees and connects with the converter circuit board. The 50-point contact connector defines the front of the converter-type circuit connector, the housing of which is defined by the upper and lower covers.
