The stereoscopic image display apparatus includes a detection and calculation module and a display unit. The detection and calculation module detects the position of the observer to configure N views of a displayed image corresponding to two eyes of the observer, and outputs a control information, wherein N?4. The display unit receives the control information and generates N view images corresponding to the N views. Each eye of the observer receives at least two view images, and the two eyes respectively receive multiple view images in different views.
