Abstract: A general query platform and method for querying of intellectual property information. The general query platform (100) includes a user interface (110) for inputting of a query (11) in a first format; a query processor (120) for changing the first format query into a second format query that intellectual property information websites (13) can identify; and an intellectual property information download unit (130) for transmitting the second format query to databases of the intellectual property information websites, converting information returned from the websites into the first format, and transmitting the first format returned information to the user interface. The query processor further includes an XML changing module (121) for changing the first format query into an XML format query, and an HTTP changing module (122) for changing the XML format query into an HTTP format query that intellectual property information websites can identify.

Abstract: Optical parts are obtained from the thermoplastic resin compositions containing alicyclic polyester, e.g., polycyclohexanedimethanolcyclohexane dicarboxylate as the alicyclic resin. The thermoplastic resin compositions contain alicyclic polyester as well as polycarbonate with the polycarbonate: alicyclic polyester weight ratio is in the range of 0:100 to 95:5, for optical elements having excellent chemical resistance and transmittance characteristics.

Abstract: A system and method for online agency service of data mining and analyzing is disclosed. The system and method can automatically fetch and analyze data stored in a remote source database (10)based on a data analysis request originated from a client site (3). Initially, the client site (3) sends a data analysis request to the service provider (2). The service provider (2) converts the data analysis request into standard format of query information and search from the source database (10). A plurality of data records are searched and written into a local database (23) contained in the service provider (2). Finally, the service provider (2) analyzes the data stored in the local database and generates a search report which is then sent to the client site (3).

Abstract: Disclosed is a novel aromatic ester compound represented by the general formula ##STR1## in which Pn is a 1,4-phenylene group, R.sup.1 is an alkyl group having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, R.sup.2 is a group selected from the group consisting of perfluoroalkyl groups having 1 to 4 carbon atoms, cyano group, nitro group, 2,2-dicyanoethenyl group and methylsulfonyl group and the subscript n is a number of 2, 3 or 4. These aromatic ester compounds are useful as a second-order non-linear optical material in the ultraviolet wavelength range so that a resin film containing the compound has a good second-order non-linear optical coefficient d.sub.33 of 2-4.times.10.sup.-9 esu.
