    Abstract: A digital photo frame with a function of prompting power off and powering off automatically is provided. The digital photo frame includes a display unit, a power management unit, a storage unit, a power off prompt device, and a processing unit. The power off prompt device produces a prompting signal to remind user whether continue to enjoy the pictures. After finish displaying all the pictures, the processing unit controls the power off prompting device to produce the prompt signal to remind the user whether to continue enjoying the pictures. If the processing unit does not receive any input signals in a predetermined time period, the processing unit transmits a power off instruction to the power management unit, thus to control the power management to stop supplying power to the digital photo frame.

    Abstract: A method and system for generating a ranking function using a fidelity-based loss between a target probability and a model probability for a pair of documents is provided. A fidelity ranking system generates a fidelity ranking function that ranks the relevance of documents to queries. The fidelity ranking system operates to minimize a fidelity loss between pairs of documents of training data. The fidelity loss may be derived from “fidelity” as used in the field of quantum physics. The fidelity ranking system may use a learning technique in conjunction with a fidelity loss when generating the ranking function. After the fidelity ranking system generates the fidelity ranking function, it uses the fidelity ranking function to rank the relevance of documents to queries.

    Abstract: A color filter of liquid crystal display (LCD) panel is described. A surface property of a black matrix is changed by coating with an ink-repellent layer formed of cheap materials, to provide better separation between portions of a colored layer, thus reducing the cost of the ink-repellent layer and avoid overflowing while color ink drops are attaching onto a transparent substrate. In addition, a method of fabricating a color filter of LCD panel is described. The ink-repellent layer is transferred onto the black matrix, and then the colored layer is formed thereon. The ink-repellent layer effectively separates the colored layer. This method of the invention greatly diminishes the usage of the ink-repellent layer, steps of exposure and development, and the cost and time of fabricating the color filter.
