Based on an insert/update/delete (IUD) feature being enabled, and based on receiving an IUD request at a massively parallel processing (MPP) database management system (DBMS) engine, identifying a partition optimized for the IUD request. A partition map is loaded corresponding to a partition optimized for only IUD requests. Based on the IUD request being an insert row operation, a new distribution key is calculated by hash. A new partition map is generated, the insert row operation is executed using the new partition map.

    Abstract: An electronic device such as a speaker device may have a curved housing characterized by a vertical longitudinal axis. A layer of fabric may cover the curved housing. A touch sensor may be used to detect touch input on the layer of fabric. The touch sensor may include capacitive touch sensor electrodes including drive lines and sense lines. In some arrangements, the touch sensor is formed from conductive strands in the layer of fabric. In other arrangements, the touch sensor is formed from conductive traces on a substrate. The substrate may be formed from portions of the curved housing or may be formed from a layer that is separate from the housing. Light-emitting components and/or fabric with different visual characteristics may be used to mark where the touch-sensitive regions of the fabric are located. The touch-sensitive regions may be shaped as media control symbols.

    Abstract: A coupling system of CO2 capture in flue gas and CO2 mineralization based on industrial solid waste includes: 1) an adsorption reaction device configured to treat flue gas with the embedded adsorbents, 2) a thermal decomposition device designed to decompose the first carbonate products to oxides and carbon dioxide, wherein the produced oxides are circulated to the adsorption reaction device, and 3) an industrial solid waste mineralization system configured to treat the deactivated oxides and the as-produced carbon dioxide. The coupling system can not only realize carbon capture and utilization, but also can enable the reuse of waste and the production of high-quality carbonates. Meanwhile, the carbon capture line is also convenient to be organically integrated with the production line of carbon mineralization system based on industrial solid waste, reducing the cost of the whole process.

The determined connection patterns are filtered by at least one filter. Connection patterns remaining after filtering are compared with route profiles from the trajectory data. For each remaining connection pattern a number of route profiles which correspond to the connection pattern are counted. A connection pattern with the highest number of matching route profiles is selected. A control device, a computer program, and a machine-readable storage medium are also described.

The piezoelectric film layer has a surface cone defect count of less than or equal to 2 per 100 microns2 of surface area of the piezoelectric film layer. In some embodiments, no vacuum breaks occur between depositions of the first seed layer, the intermediate film layer, the second seed layer, and the piezoelectric film layer.

    Abstract: A method for creating map data having lane-specific resolution. Mapping data are initially received, the mapping data being transmitted by a vehicle, and including a vehicle trajectory and at least one object feature. In the event the check indicates that no map data are present, map data are created from the mapping data and stored in a memory. In the event the check indicates that map data are already present, the map data are compared with the mapping data. If this comparison reveals that the mapping data differ from the map data, the map data are adapted, the adaptation taking place on the basis of a weighting factor. Statistical techniques may be applied to variations in the subsequences to determine whether the variations are mutations or not. The displayed information regarding each mutation may include the nature of the mutation, the frequency of the mutation, the location of the user having the mutation, the date that the sample was obtained and other information of interest.

Each of the time steps includes: building up a mapping between particles and background grid blocks; sorting the particles to a level of granularity; transferring momenta and masses of the particles to grid nodes on the background grid blocks to compute forces on the grid nodes; updating velocities and resolving collisions from the computed forces on the grid nodes; and applying the updated velocities back to the particles from the grid nodes and advecting the particles. In some embodiments, the frequency of building up and sorting is reduced compared with the frequency of transferring, updating, and applying in the plurality of time steps.
