  • Publication number: 20080143112
Abstract: A small wind power supercapacitor energy storage system comprises a small wind-power generator for generating electric power from wind-power; a low internal-resistance power-storage supercapacitor for storing the electric power from the small wind-power generator and then for driving a load. The small electric power can be accumulated to have great electric power so as to drive LED lights or small electric power devices. The low internal resistance of a supercapacitor is used to get and accumulate small electric power from wind-power generator into large electric power so as to drive LED lights or small electric power devices. The efficiency of the system is better than solar power application and thus it provides great convenience and has a lower cost.

  • Publication number: 20080141998
Abstract: A maximum power point tracking system, named flash supercapacitor-solar power device, and method for a solar power system, which mainly adds a pulse-power supercapacitor for being operated in a dynamic equilibrium are disclosed. The duty ratio D is changed and the voltage variance of the supercapacitor is observed to determine the next adjusting direction of the duty ratio D of the DC/DC converter. In the present invention, only a voltage value of the supercapacitor is needed to be monitored and no current-detection is needed. The output power of the solar power system can be actually estimated. The maximum power is traced in an oscillatory way. Therefore, the operation process of the perturbation and observation method, which is generally implemented currently, is simplified. By utilizing the steady-state equilibrium of the supercapacitor, only the voltage of the supercapacitor needs to be detected, and there is no need to measure and calculate the voltage and current values.

  • Patent number: 7341608
Abstract: This invention demonstrates a method for making a device of storing energy, enhancing the efficiency of manufacture and the reliability of products. The electrode plates of storing energy are accumulated according to the working voltage needed to form a pre-structuring unit of storing energy. The electrolyte leak of a capacitor and the unequal voltage of an accumulative unit, which are the main factors of the fail in a conventional capacitor, are solved by using three layers of sealing gel. And then, the electrolyte is to back fill in by vacuum and to seal the units to accomplish the device of storing energy. Each porous electrode in the device has two faces at the same time, which are used for the positive and negative poles respectively. The electrode plates are assembled with bipolar structure, the same as the series connection of the storing-energy devices, which can reduce the volume and mass of the device and the cost of the manufacture.
