    Abstract: A method and system for storage traffic modeling in a Software Defined Storage (SDS) is disclosed. The method includes the steps of: collecting observed values of at least one performance parameter in a period of time from a storage node; learning a trend structure of the at least one performance parameter varying with time from the observed values; and providing a predicted value of one performance parameter in a particular point in time in the future. The storage node is operated by SDS software. The trend structure is adjusted based on observed values collected after the period of time. The predicted value is an output of the trend structure which has been adjusted.

The system includes: a traffic monitoring module, for acquiring observed values of performance parameters in the storage node; an adaptive neural fuzzy inference module, for learning a dynamic relationship between configurations of a plurality of storage devices in the storage node and the performance parameters during a period of time, and outputting fuzzy rules which is built according to the dynamic relationship; a traffic forecasting module, for providing forecasted values of the performance parameters in a particular point in time in the future; and a fuzzy rule control module, for arranging the configuration of the storage devices in the storage node in the particular point in time in the future according to the fuzzy rules and the forecasted values.

The system includes: a traffic monitoring module, for acquiring an observed value of the performance parameter in a storage node; an adaptive dual neural module, for learning best configurations of a plurality of storage devices in the storage node under various difference values between the observed values and a specified value of the performance parameter from historical records of configurations of the storage devices and associated observed values, and providing the best configurations when a current difference value is smaller than a threshold value; and a quick response control module, for changing a current configuration of the storage devices in the storage node as the best configuration of the storage devices provided from the adaptive dual neural module if the current difference value is not smaller than the threshold value.

    Abstract: A handheld electronic product that is capable of automatically switching between operating modes includes a mouse module for outputting a mouse signal when operated on a plane surface, an angle detection module, and a control module. The angle detection module detects changes in angular orientation between the handheld electronic product and a horizontal plane, and outputs a detection signal. The control module switches to a mouse mode upon determining that the angular orientation indicated in the detection signal is a horizontal orientation, and to a non-mouse mode when otherwise. The control module controls output of the mouse signal when in the mouse mode, and disables output of the mouse signal when in the non-mouse mode.

The hinge unit is disposed on the second cover structure. Therefore, the first cover structure and the second cover structure pivot to each other and slid with respect to each other by matching the two pivots and the two guiding tracks.

    Abstract: A water hammer arrester, a liquid supply apparatus and a method of preventing water hammer effect are provided. The water hammer arrester arrests the water hammer effect in a pipeline linking up a liquid tank to a water supply point. The water hammer arrester comprises a pressure sensor, a proportional-integral-differential (PID) control module and a control valve. The pressure sensor is set between the liquid tank and the liquid supply point. The PID control module and the pressures sensor are connected together. The control valve is set in the pipeline with connection to the PID control module. The PID control module controls the operation of the control valve according to the signals received from the pressure sensor. The water hammer arrester relieves excess pressure within the pipeline automatically according to sensed internal pressure so that damage to the pipeline due to the sudden shut down of a check valve is prevented.

The base is adapted to rest upon a horizontal countertop surface as a support for other components of the cooking appliance. The base includes an electric line adapted to be plugged into a source of household electricity and an electric motor connected to the electric line. The pot is adapted to be placed removably upon the base for food preparation purposes and to be used apart from the base as a serving dish. An electric heating element is included for heating the pot when the pot is on the base using electric power from the electric line. A stirring mechanism on the pot is adapted to connect to the motor when the pot is placed on the base and to stir packaged foods within the pot using rotational power from the electric motor.

    Abstract: An appliance for cooking fajitas and other tortilla cuisine includes an electric grill plate having a plate component with a cooking surface, an electrical heating element component adapted to heat the plate component for purposes of cooking foodstuffs placed on the cooking surface, a portion of the plate component that defines a compartment adapted to hold a stack of tortillas for purposes of warming the tortillas with heat derived from the electric grill plate, and a cover for the compartment. One embodiment includes a removable tortilla tray within the tortilla warming compartment for holding the tortillas while they warm so that the cook can lift the tortilla tray from the tortilla warming compartment for purposes of transporting the tortillas to the table. Ribs on the plate component facilitate drainage of grease, oil, and other runoff liquids from the fajitas and other foodstuffs through a hole in the plate component to a removable collection drawer.
