  • Patent number: 7058351
Abstract: A scanning device comprises a scanning body, a hinge and a cover. The scanning body has a first slot horizontally extended and formed at one side of the scanning body. The hinge has an upper portion and a lower portion engaged to each other and relatively movable for changing a length of the hinge. The lower portion of the hinge is disposed in the first slot and rotatably coupled to the scanning body. The cover is rotatably coupled to the upper portion of the hinge. When the cover is in a closed position, the hinge is received in the first slot. When an original medium to be scanned with a thickness is placed on the scanning body and positioned by the cover, the hinge is correspondingly rotated to a first position and extended to a first length.

  • Publication number: 20060103897
Abstract: A scanning device including a scanning platform, a bar, a carriage, a contact image sensor, a positioning member and an elastic member is provided. The bar disposed below the scanning platform is parallel to the first edge. The carriage has a bottom surface and a top surface. The bottom surface has a receiving part for receiving the bar. The top surface faces the scanning platform. The carriage is slideably moved below the scanning platform along the bar. The contact image sensor disposed on the top surface is for scanning a document. The positioning member which is slideably or rotatably disposed on the bottom surface is for pressing against the bar. The elastic member is connected to the carriage and the positioning member and provides an elastic force to the positioning member. The elastic force transmitted to the bar enables the contact image sensor to press the scanning platform tightly.

  • Publication number: 20050133599
Abstract: An image capture apparatus is provided. The image capture apparatus includes a window glass, an image sensor under the window glass, a spacer that is between and firmly in contact with the window glass and the image sensor, and an adjustment module connected to the image sensor. The adjustment module adjusts the relative distance between the spacer and the image sensor module to accommodate different objects to be scanned. The present invention also provides a novel approach to adjust the relative distance between the spacer and the image sensor module by utilizing convex portions and corresponding depressions on the spacer and the image sensor module.
