    Abstract: In a door lock, a locking mechanism includes an outer wheel, an inner wheel disposed inside the outer wheel and operable to rotate relative to the outer wheel, a clutch member disposed in the inner wheel and normally biased to radially extend from the inner wheel into the outer wheel to interengage the inner and outer wheels, and an arm plate sleeved around the inner wheel. When the inner wheel rotates in a first direction, the arm plate is driven by the inner wheel to actuate the deadbolt. When the inner and outer wheels are interengaged, the inner wheel drives the outer wheel by rotating in a second direction. When the inner wheel disengages from the outer wheel, rotation of the inner wheel in the first or second direction is idle relative to the outer wheel.

When the plug is rotated using a right key, the locking ring can be rotated to align the indentation with the locking pin so as to permit depression of the locking pin, or to move the indentation away from the locking pin so as to prevent depression of the locking pin.

When the latch bolt is jammed, the second driven wheel is inoperative. However, as the driving elements are resilient, the first driven wheel can continue its rotation without being obstructed.

A spindle driving plate has a central hole engaging fittingly a spindle of the door lock. A manually operable lock unit has a button member extending outwardly through the through-hole and mounted for movement in an axial direction between locking and unlocking positions, and an engagement member in connection with the button member. The engagement member engages the spindle driving plate for locking against rotation of the spindle driving plate when the lock unit is at the locking position. A rotary member is mounted on the axle within the mounting cap for rotating simultaneously the axle. The rotary member moves axially and outwardly the engagement member to disengage from the spindle driving plate when the axle is turned to rotate the rotary member.
